  1. I think I made myself clear on what I would buy. But you buy whatever you want to.
  2. I've had a Pro 2000 over twenty years and never had a problem with it. Yes I think it's worth the extra money!
  3. I'm glad it worked for ya.
  4. I've had good luck with lime juice getting a dirty spot off.
  5. I just did a search putting in youtube skiving machine and the first movie was about setting a skiver up.
  6. I use a piece of 3/4 by one inch steel that is bent L shaped. To use it clamp it in vice and set the rivet in a hard to get at place.
  7. I've made a bunch of halters over the years and i'm not sure how they sewed that close without breaking a needle. It doesn't need to be that close. Bottom line is the halter is only as strong as the leather and the hardware.
  8. I used lime juice on a piece that some mold a couple or months ago and so far it's working. I put on with a peace of sheep skin with the wool on it to put it on with.
  9. Buy whatever you want. But it seems to me your just thinking about saving a few dollars. In the twenty plus years I have owned my Pro 2000 all I have ever done it is replace one tension spring and a couple of new tires for the winder. Never had to reset the timeing, very rarely have adjust tehison from thick to thin. Plus you get the special parts that Ferdco came up with. Like I said at the start buy whatever you want.
  10. Ferdco pro 2000 ! I've used mine 20 plus years with problems as all. Stitches in the same holes in reverse to.
  11. Ferdco Pro 2000 for the last 20 years.
  12. I've cut 13 / 15 oz skirting. That's about the limit.
  13. I would glue it the piece in the back then see it all together.
  14. Their are no pictures or prices.
  15. Do you a paper pattern ? I can't make heads or tails of the drawing. When I'm making the rounded corners I use washers most of the time. I cut everything out of poster board and tape together to see how it looks, if you have done that and have a picture it would help to see the problem for me anyway.

It tells how to thread it. I don't have a machine to look at, I just found the manual.
  17. Search singer 7 5 manual. It shows how to thread it.
  18. It's listed for 995.00 new on the Ferdco website.
  19. I've used the small plastic Coke bottles for years and they work great ! Drill a hole in the top and i use a piece of trimed sheep skin to spread the glue with, when your done stick it to the top. This year i had to take a month and a half off and my glue was fine when i got back to work.
  20. I think you need to start all over back the top tension off and loosen the bobbin tension to where it pulls freely, sense you have already messed with it. Then sew some and tighten the top tension a little at a time and see what happens you may need to tighten the bobbin a little. Works for me anyway. I really think the polyester thread is the way to go but each to his own.
  21. I,be a magnet a few times to find screw that I dropped, by crawling around on the floor with it.
  22. Dress maker tracing paper ( I think it's called ) lay it on a file folder and trace over your pattern with the tracing paper in between the paper and folder. Cut slits in the folder. Put baby powder in a sock and tap, you should have pattern to stitch by and it should wipe off.
  23. Barry King stamps makes some real nice ones !
  24. You could try leather tape from wawak sewing. It's double sided and sticks really good. You may need stick one side and trim depending on how wide the spokes are. Then peel backing off and stick.
  25. Nice job. Guess you used a copeing saw to cut it out ? 😁
