  1. @Ben00 as TomG says, use jpg format and follow his instructions of how to post photos. 800x600 pixels is adequate, 1280x768 is fine too. Can post around a 100 photos with those approximate dimensions.
  2. You probably need to reduce the file sizes to meet the size restrictions here. Check out this link for helps and suggestions.
  3. I've been using an automotive body hammer. Not polished or or buffed up. It works fine for tapping down stitching. Really, you are just trying to tap the thread down so it doesn't stand really proud above the leather. As long as the leather is not wet, it's not likely to leave impressions in the leather. It should smooth out the feed dog marks and presser foot marks. Looking at your new hammer, I would smooth it out more than what it is. I don't like the pit in the face. Some gentle work with a smoothing file should make quick work of it.
  4. As posted above: You can resize your photos to fit the file size restrictions. See this link for some suggestions.
  5. @modaddio I uploaded your photos. Please post them here rather than on 3rd party hosting sites. Many members will not download from 3rd party sites.
  6. Looks like lots cf copies of the book are available on abebooks for very reasonable price. https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&cm_sp=SearchF-_-home-_-Results&tn=Cowboys and The Trappings of the Old West
  7. https://tandyleather.ca/products/poundo-boards?_pos=1&_sid=b6b8e5059&_ss=r MDF very smooth, but ... may contain metal fragments. Have seen sparks fly occasionally when cutting a 3/4" sheet. So would not use it for anything where a sharpened edge is pressed or hammered into an MDF board.
  8. The sentence end period was included in the URL. Fixed it. So just a comment to others that come across this post, when posting URLs, don't include sentence end periods in the URL. This forum's software likes to include extra characters.
  9. @CindyF Removed bad links. They all came up with errors. Assume that they were supposed to be links to photos. If your photos are too large, they need to be resized. On your device, drag the photos to the area identified in the text box you are posting in, near the bottom of the box.
  10. It's there under edit for me all the time. May not be there for you all the time, besides your limited time window for editing. The icon is light gray.
  11. @catskin Moved your post to new and refurbished - under sewing machines, so sewing machine guys will be more likely to see this.
  12. Only the hook spins or moves. Bobbin is not powered.
  13. Scroll all the way to the bottom, to the uploaded photos, click the garbage can on the lower right of the photo.
  14. @HughMungis Moved your post to "wanted" Help wanted requires every post to be moderated and approved. For members, this is a better location for this request.
  15. @Evert Moved your post to leather sewing machines, This is where the sewing machine guys hang out and are much more likely to get a timely response from someone here.
  16. You can add that to your profile. Always nice to know the area a person is from.
  17. Click the link for ebay and you can check it out yourself. It is not the OP's machine as he says above.
  18. Rustic is in South Dakota according to the IP Address.
  19. Thanks for your reply. We'll keep it as is for now. Agree that you want traffic to your site and that this helps. Anytime you want some of your tutorials or other blog posts with lots of good info converted to PDFs and post here, message me. Same goes for anyone else that would like their material converted and posted here.
  20. Pictures in other threads/posts don't stop you from adding pictures in a new thread. Reduce the size to fit the restrictions. Watch the on screen prompts to ensure the picture is uploaded and saved/posted in the post.
  21. Check the link below for helps and suggestions of how to resize photos to post here. Lots of different options. https://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/15122-how-to-post-pictures-on-lw/?do=findComment&comment=551171

  23. I assume you realized this thread is 12 years old. If you want to sell your patterns or craftaids, please post them in the Marketplace forum https://leatherworker.net/forum/forum/72-bookspatternsperiodicalsvideos/
  24. Photos not attached. If the photos are too large and wouldn't load, you will need to resize them. There is a sticky under the computer forum with a number of helps and suggestions if you need them.
  25. Hi Nick. Would you give permission for me to make a PDF of your instructions and post them in this thread so they are available regardless of what happens to your site in the future? I'm sure it would be appreciated by others in the future.
