  1. Thanks for adding the comments, Clay. Makes the gallery even more enjoyable Know what you mean about pictures. On my first trip to ND, I took over 700 pictures in the Theodore Roosevelt Park alone!
  2. Wow, super great tutorial, Mike! Thanks for posting. Valuable information in here.
  3. Are you referring to the five links on the download page of their site? If so, just click on any one of the five. All of them will give you the same product (i.e. iespell 2.5.1). Those links point to the different servers where their product is available. So if one server is down, people can still get iespell from one of the four others.
  4. You're welcome, Clay. I had some problems myself accessing them yesterday. In case it might help you sort it out (and others gain access), if clicking the link you gave yesterday morning brings the home page of dotphoto, try clicking on the link in your sig, then clicking again the link you provided. Just tried it from work and that's how I was able to access them. On closer examination, I see that the first part of yesterday's link says "www.dotphoto" while this morning's link says "clayb.dotphoto". Could it be why it wasn't working right yesterday since it wasn't directly linked to your album? This morning's link should work fine, I believe. Re Noah's Ark - You mean that is an actual book which can be closed? *jaw drops to floor* Yup, I noticed the pictures of the kids. Lots of them and having a great time too! Sounds like you really had a great time there, Clay. Makes me all the more eager to be in the US and really get going with my leather stuff! Thanks for the details you added on the show this morning. Makes me feels like I was part of it in a way (yeah, I know, I'm weird )
  5. Clay, I can see you're like me, you like to take loads of pictures! I sure I'm dreaming of the day when I'll be able to attend one of these shows. They really look like fun. How was it? Thanks for sharing these with us. There's a lot of beautiful pieces in there. Are you going to add comments to the pictures? I hope so. It'll be fun looking at them again and having the info. No pressure though, I only know too well how time consuming that can be! Some people can be so creative, like that angel with the ribbons. It's just amazing what one can do with leather. Some others are just plain amazing with their decorative cuts. Man, just plain amazing! And what about Noah's Ark. Geez, quite imaginative! Thanks again for sharing, Clay. It's a real source of inspiration!
  6. Beautiful work, love the shape and pattern. It will be neat to see the knife that's hiding in it. I like damascus blades.
  7. Glad to see it's working again for you. Maybe it's the same thing happening to Johanna.
  8. Umm... *scratches head* (side note: would be neat having an icon for this) Regis, send me a PM with your email address (the one that doesn't work). I'll try to send you a topic and we'll see what happens. It might help Johanna in finding the problem.
  9. Ok, it's the one I tried and which worked. Johanna, since it's working for me, let me know if I can help you troubleshoot this in some way. Today's a holiday here so I'm home all day and available.
  10. By emailing a post do you mean the "Email this topic" option? Or is it something else? If it's Email this topic, I just tried it and it works for me.
  11. Ah! Now it sounds familiar. Know what they are but why didn't I think of them, I have no clue. Thanks for the tip, rdb!
  12. Beautiful work, Andy, and welcome to the forum!
  13. Sauna tubes? First time I hear that. What are they?
  14. No leatherwork at the moment. Too much stuff going on with work, looking up visa info, and getting ready for my move in a month. That and, wondering how the heck I'm gonna pack them big rolls of leather!
  15. Great pics indeed. Thanks for sharing!
  16. Great job, Masja! That's one of the things I want to do one day. You really did a super job on this. Nice contrast between the leather and the lace, just the right amount of tooling too. I really like it. Also like the idea of the removable bit. Something I'll keep in mind for sure.
  17. Wow, neat looking pad, Tom! Love it, love the design, as well as the old finish you gave it. Great job! And now I know what to do if I want an old looking piece like this, I'll just wrinkle the leather while humid to get all those depressions and ridges. Cool!
  18. Coooooool mask, Tom! I love it!
  19. Nice job, Chris! I really like the bear claw pattern you came up with.

    Braiding 101

I got mine from u-braid-it (look under Supplies). Very good service too and fast. They have a great variety of colors but only one size (3/16"). For the other sizes I'd look into stores which sell sporting goods. You should be able to find some there as well.
  21. Cool looking work, Spider! Good luck and good times at the fair!

    Braiding 101

Good job there, Tazzman! Yup, I agree about the core. Either the core is too big or the lace too narrow. You're off to a very good start though, your braiding is even and straight so I say now all you need to do is to match the core and lace width and you'll have it down. If there's anything else I can do to help, just let me know.

    Braiding 101

Don't worry about Grant's book, I've had my share of trouble trying to understand it. About the 4-strand round braid, take a look at the dog leash tutorial I did. I show in there how to start and braid it. Maybe it would help. It's right here: Leash tutorial. I also have some tutorials on knots. As for books, I haven't seen the books by Ron Edwards but I've heard good things about them. There are also books made by Gail Hought which are very well done. I've seen two of hers and with her explanations, finally understood how to do interweaving.
