I would do it with 1-2 oz veg tan leather pig skin would be great because of the texture.
case the leather , then start forming the face, let dry, then fill in the voids on the
back side.......
Welcome to the fourm.....the upper for my mocks are made from 8-9oz Elk and the soles are 10 oz veg tan. No you will not be able to make them WaterProf, Mabey water repelent.

also u can use virgn olive oil this will produce a little darker color. "experiment".
a fine looking bilfold.if it is made from the foreskin of an elephant,

I have used this method...........
I have used Acrilic Craft paint and diluted
it down with water, apply like you would reg Ant, and wipe Quickley

Listen to Tony. USE A LEAD BLOCK.......or Listen to me and use the END GRAIN OF A hardwood
block....both works well and your punches will last a long time.
Boom.....Take a trip to the local Music Store that sells them. You'll get a good idea of
what size they need to be .....then come back to your shop and get busy making one.
ths straps are not hard to make.
