    THE BEST I COULD TELL FROM THE PHOTO IT COULD BE A "SPLIT RIVET" FIND SOME OF THEM AND SEE IF THAT WOULD WORK. I HAVE SEEN THEM IN STEEL, COPPER & BRASS.

    Us Hatleys have to stick together one in the U S one in the U K . Ray will be getting a Sewing Machine this week ,then he will be stiching the seat like these (ps he is the international supplier of tri bolts)

    THAT MAKES FOR A VERY BADD TOOL..... I'LL HAVE TO SAY THAT NONE OF MY VINTAGE TOOLS FROM TANDY , THESE ARE FROM THE 60'S & 70'S HAVE EVER BENT....... THE ONLY TOOLS THAT HAVE MUSHROONED ARE THE ONES FROM HIDECRAFTERS..........

    I did it once, going from left to right no problems but the other side i had to do it with the project upside down and had to lace backwards..

    I WAS VERY SUPRIZED THIS AFTERNOON WHEN THE POSTMAN LEFT A PACKAGE IN THE MAIL BOX FROM WASHINGTON STATE. I knew that Greg Gaub had came thru.I have never been so suprized in my life. At such a fine gift that he made for me. the lettering is awsum and he got the last name down right. thank you so much Greg.

    I beleive that you are trying to do something that the machine is not design to do. that is not a heavy duty Harness Machine wind the bobbin with 69 thread and try 138 thread on top. also you might try 92 on top . see how it sews with that....I M H O P.....

    randy i dont thing so. they were made from steel for durability & longdivity i dont see why you could not make one from a pc of aluminum.
