  2. OK one bit off advice! If you want to raise the table height, disconect the chain from the peddle and turn off the power, first. Otherwise raising the table is the same as lowering the pedal.!!! You might/will put a hole in your finger with the needle.!!! Don't worry it heals in about one week. Otherwise this is a great machine that does everything you want.

  12. HELLO AMERICA! What are good stiffeners for belts, a secret held by those who know!?? Some say zink..stainless steel, plastic, spring steel, Galvanized metal, copper,Egyption secret metal, even unknown elements from other planets! Well.. share the secret to the best stiffeners, please. My wife and children are being held hostage until the best material is divulged! ..After one week I know not what will happen?.. .
  13. The smallest possible hole that will allow the needle and thread to pass through. Then one size smaller! The only time to use a drill bit is two or three layers of leather and a filler Strip! Otherwise an awl. Some say you should have to use pliers to get the needle through. Maybe yes..maybe no?
  14. Well shooter you did start a new post, this is about your wifes holster! Come on man, Stay on topic. LOL. If anything go with the brown or red in the great grips. Nothing too strong. Looks kinda neat the way it is.

  17. Hey. You don't need templates or pattern. Hidecrafter, George Hurst has videos that explain the pattern making process. Then just get pictures of nice looking holsters and make your own pattern for each gun you want! It really is that simple, if you have access to the gun, that is.
  18. Nice clean design! I would rather see the holster cover the trigger. Your stitching is great, and a pretty finish.
  19. Great video Paul, want to split a bag??? That aughta lasts a while. Kevin L.
  20. Just call Bob Kovar @`(866)-362-7397. You'll have your answer!
  21. Try FEE-Bay (ebay). I just ordered from Australia (?) two cd's with of 34 old books on boot and shoe making. It took two to get different books and many duplicated items . One would probably do. deliverd for $7.00!!! Total cost delivered about....say..$15.00000000!!!!
  22. Before you "build" you own table consider harbor freight, delivered. Or just GOOGLE used sewing tables. Worth, better than doing.!!!
  23. Post pictures of the machines you still have and all tools and they will sell here. Better than FEE-BAY!
  24. Several people use a carpet remnant directly under the marble. Helps with noise, and seems to avoid some double strikes and bounce. Try that with wareagle's idea of leg insulation, of different kinds if necessary. That should do the trick. I just cannot help visualizing the pounding leather in bed, late at night. Huuuum?
