  1. Try leather crafters journal dot com. They have books and pattern on saddlemaking.
  2. what I mean is individual lifts that are pressured to harden. I want to peg individual layers. I COULD pound out my own, but I get real tired doing it.
  3. Go to their profile and click message, or if they posted click on their name and their profile pop's up. Kevin
  4. Good morning Ryan: I'm not a dealer, but I slept at a holiday inn last night. You need more machine than you want. New can be GOOD! Especially for a new sewer. Go ahead and check out the "4" class machines, set uo correctly for your need and shipped COMPLETE. How many hours do you want to spend searching for a used machine? How many hours to research needles and thread and tension adjustments on your own? A $2,000 TOP-OF-THE-LINE machine only will cost you about $35 per month over the next five years and then it's FREE for the rest of your life, or sell it for nearly the purchase price. There are few 4 class for sale used. That's because they are that good. and if somebody wants to sell, they go in days. Buy new and get the dealer support you WILL need. Just a thought for you. Good luck on your decision, Kevin
  5. Where is a good source for pre-pounded heel lifts for cowboy boots? I figured out the rubber top lift thing. Need to get to that point and I'm NOT A POUNDER.!! LOL
  6. Very, very nice. Kept the best for yourself huh? Great stitching! What is the lining and total weight. Kevin

    Singer 29K60

I guess your left with E-bay and local p/u. Oh, wait, you will need a picture! Soooh. No picture, not yours, no shipping,...Just trust me and send money??? Hey. I'm in.
  8. You have gotta tried to replicate that cracked look since this original posting. NOW, how did you do it! I wantone, Iwantone,Iwantone!!! Kevin
  9. I know this is an older post, but did anybody find a 1/4 metal lace? I would like some also. Kevin
  10. Well I found all the manuals made for the Landis 12 L. Do not really need the sutton T-2 finisher info, it's self explainatory. BUY PARTS! LOL

    Shoe Last

What kind of lasts are you looking for? Boots or shoes? New or used? Wood or plastic, with or without metal heal plate? ETC.

    Rotating Clips

While Sixer started on clips, is there a source for the rotating clips, or swivel clips like on the blackberry phone holsters?
  13. I do not know anything about hardening at "125 degrees", but if that's what you want catch you oven on the heat side going up and shut it off as say 130 degrees and let it cool. Kevin
  14. Ferg, do you at least have the five-in-one diagram and parts list? If not it's part of Shoe System Plus' parts and supply catalogue for 2011. It might be on the web site too. Kevin
  15. Your work site is WHERE ARE THE ELVES ?.!!! Buy a machine and you''ll find all the shop elves, working at nite and not cleaning up, as you ever wanted to see. LOLOL. Wait until you have the machine and use it before you worry about lots of the accessories. Then and only then will you find the ones you NEED. I bought them all with the original purchase of my machine because of BASKET PURCHASE pricing, but haven't used them all, or even know how! Good luck!! Kevin
  16. hello, hidepounder . It's not the back loop that needs stiffening in the mind of my clients. It where the holster, with say a 1911 45 cal., attaches to the belt. They are looking for a belt less than 1/4 thick and yet holds up to that weight year after year. Even so far as to have a "dress belt" of 1 inch and yet carry concealed and even covert. Kevin
  17. Hey Russ. I don't know about the plastic, but did you see the 12x12 vac ad below the plastics???
  18. A local shop has a mckay for sale. I already have a cowboy 4500 and Landis 12L. What would the Mckay do for me I can't do on what I have? Thanks Kevin
  19. It looks, from the pictures to be black webbing. The other looks like simple cardboard. There is a thread going now down in purses and belts.. about the same subject. Check that out also. Kevin
  20. Good Morning Busted: Many people (read customers) want a thinner, smaller belt for OWB carry that will fit INSIDE their belt loops. They simply cannot use a 10 or 12 OZ 1 1/2 belt. One answer MIGHT BE to use a stiffener material between thinner, say 3 OZ leather. Many gun belt makers are currently using a stiffener layer of different sorts. The answers to my question point out others here are using them. Kevin
  21. Great looking holster, as usual, and a great weapon, as usual, makes a great looking and using platform. Keep posting, I love the ideas you give me. And yes I own the same pistol. Gonna emulate your holster. think maybe oxblood? Thanks Kevin
  22. Just a curios thought. Why a great brass rivet on one side and not a match on the other? Great looking belts. With that much leather and quality I'd say at least $90. Where else they gonna get them? Kevin
  23. I just got my Landis 12L, moved it to my basement and recovered from the hernia.. LOL. I could sure use a front on picture of the bobbin area and rotary shuttle area. I MIGHT be missing a piece or two, don't know. I have the DO IT YOURSELF MAINTENANCE GUIDE and the DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY PROCEDURES manual, but they don't help a lot. Are their any other guides or parts lists? Thanks guys and girls, Kevin
  24. Hi Ed. I ordered my second maul from Beary this week. Kevin
  25. I bought a used Landis 12L and got it clean and in my basement shop. Took it apart and moved pieces, then reassembled. That parts O.K. Anybody got a set of manuals and parts list or should I just buy a set ($26). Same for a Sutton T-2. Thanks, Kevin PS I have DO-IT-YOUSELF and DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY, is there anything else?
