    Oh Boy

That was so funny!! I think most of us have started out this way. (maybe not to that extent) You can only get better from here. Yes, you need veg tan leather. Good Luck!
  7. Tandy has a new marking pen! I assume it's water base. The marks rub off with your finger when you're done. I'm getting one!!
  8. Ha ha, Cool work Tree Reaper! I thought it was a fish until I looked closer!
  9. Stopping the design before the stitching. Nice work!
  10. Paprhangr, My husband fabricated the pan and we had it painted to match the bike which I will post photos of later. This bike is entered in the Full Throttle Bike invitational down in Florida in a couple weeks. I hope we get everything wrapped up soon. This is very stressful .
  11. Samar! You are truly FABULOUS! I would love to watch over your shoulder! :notworthy:
  12. When you wipe off the antique try not to wipe it out of the crevices. You may have used too much super sheen.(I don't let my antique sit. I immediately dry it off.) You could even go back and take a wet cloth and wipe off the excess on the completely black piece and see if it lightens. Tandy leather factory has a video you need to watch on antiquing. Tandy has several how-to videos.
  13. They look great! I'm sure it was worth the wait!
  14. I've had some oiled leather laying around for a while so I made a seat using it. It has that worn used look. A pain to fit the top since it acts like a piece of rubber and wants to shift while lacing. The cure is to cut the top as small as possible so no buckles or movement.
