  1. VERY NICE!
  2. I don't mind helping answer questions but, I guess what is rubbing me the wrong way is you want all the answers (immediately) from all of us that have learned through instruction and diligently searching out the craft so you can make a wallet without all the work.
  3. Maybe you need to make the wallet out of something else besides leather... Veg-tan has been recommended. The thinner you get the floppier it will be. You've asked lots of questions but no answer suffices. Not trying to be hard. Just my opinion.
  4. Cool Sheath! Really like the handle braiding on the knife.
  5. You've really been hitting it, Leatherpownder! I bet they're ALL beautiful!
  6. Averya, you did a fabulous job!
  7. Paprhangr, I used Montana Pitch on this one.
  8. Haven't posted anything for a while. Resisted and dyed a dark brown.
  9. My take on the video is: Minimalistic wallets are nice if you only want to carry a few cards and no cash. Most are too small and don't make it easy to put cash in. I wouldn't want to carry a card holder AND a money clip. It seems to be defeating the purpose of less to handle. A bi-fold makes more sense.
  10. Thanks for the chemistry lesson Texas Jack...I just learned a lot!
  11. Why do you need it that thick? Do you have a purpose?
  12. Huh, wonder if that's a new bottle?
  13. All my Fiebing's says 'dye' not stain. Even my Fiebing's Walnut says dye. The term stain usually is for wood. I've probably said stain in the past meaning dye but unless Fiebing's has changed the names it should be dye for leather and stain for wood. (if you use wood stain for leather- it goes on very even if it's oil base.)
  14. Looks great Frank! The finishing touches completed it!
  15. I agree Tree Reaper! It's getting out of hand. Adding foil could be the answer.I live in the area that Bob Segall reports his investigations. He has uncovered lots of jaw dropping info in the state of Indiana. I'm always intrigued his reporting.
  16. The stone oiled leather comes dyed. You can't dye it yourself. Stamping doesn't hold so not a good idea.
  17. Great suggestion, Knothead!
  18. Electrathon is right...it's the way you hold it. Just like with a potato peeler. If it's pivoted just right it works. I know that veg-tan is easier and chrome leather is stretchy. Not so easy.
  19. GREAT WORK! I love that first one!
