  1. Watch how the dents are taken out of this couch.
  2. I know some furniture makers use a heat gun to get rid of wrinkles. Just be careful to keep the gun moving and not too close.

  10. Nice minimalist wallet! Sometimes leather can get stiff if you really soak it with dye. Your thread looks a little heavy. Doesn't look too bad though.

  16. Lunasea, For one thing, if you don't know that you need vegetable tanned leather to tool a design- you need to start from the beginning and learn the basics before doing any project of this magnitude. Yes, I believe you're too ambitious. Start with something simple and learn what you need to know before moving ahead. Learn from videos on the internet or go to the Tandy leather factory site. It has tons of videos and info. Good Luck!
  17. You are spot on, CountryStyle! When I joined I scoured the whole site for hours looking at past posts and drinking in all I could. You never can learn enough here. This is the only forum I use for knowledge and leather working friends. Glad someone pointed this out!
  18. Adding the stitching would really make it look professional. Also depending on how you cut the pieces will make a difference. Good luck!
  19. The wildebeest is beautiful and very nicely done!
