  1. Very nice Chief, did you make your own interior? If you bought it where are you purchasing interiors? I'm having a hard time finding quality interiors. Thanks
  2. Bearman, looks very nice! Can you explain the differences you see between Angelus and Fiebings? I'm curious! And get them batteries changed so we can see the new design when it's done!
  3. Thanks guys! Being the first wallet I now know what I'm up against for the next one! A few things I'll change.
  4. First leather wallet for my son-in-law! I hope he likes it...he's an outdoorsman.
  5. Very nice website....I found 3 words spelled wrong. Ambassadors, mahogany, turquoise. Other than that looks great!
  6. Take your photo and upload to your computer. Size it if it's too big. Start a (new topic). When you're ready to post it there's a browse button at the bottom of your post. Click it and find your photo and it will put it in the browse area. Then click (attach this file). It's under the browse button. Wait for it to load up and you're ready to post!
  7. Ferg, I use the bleeding cowboy font and I like it. (www.buttskinz.com) I may change it in the future but for now I'm alright with it. It's a gut feeling and what's pleasing to you. Good luck on what you end up with.
  8. Whiteeugene, It may be that you put 2-3 coats of dye on it.. The metallic look you're talking about is dye that's dried. The solvent that carried the dye has evaporated leaving it as a powder on the surface. Be careful buffing it because it can be reactivated if it comes into contact with dampness...You might try diluting the dye and try it on a scrap piece. Good luck.
  9. Misfitchris, If I were you I'd start with a kit. You will learn all the steps and mechanics of making a wallet. Sometimes learning on your own doesn't pay off. You may spend more money in the long run too. Just my suggestion. Welcome to the forum!
  10. Very cool product!! I'll visit the website next. Thanks for posting!
  11. Very cool patchwork! Hi, I'm from central Indiana. We need to see a photo of the bike! My husband is building a shovelhead and posting photos on his own blog of the progress www.anythinggoes74.com if you're interested in looking. Good luck on your leather work ahead!
  12. Very nice detail...nice for a first!
  13. This may be a stupid question but are you sure it's veg-tan leather? Also if you have used any contact cement around your work area I know that will stop dye penetration.
  14. Bluesman, Have you thought of using contact spray adhesive on your items? That's what I use instead of the messy stringy brushes. I get mine from Foam n'More. It has a nice fan pattern when it sprays. I just mask off where I don't want glue.
  15. Hi Spinner, you have been busy! I especially like the 2003 superglide bib with the chrome spots! My favorite! SHNAZZY!
  16. THAT IS SOMETHING ELSE!! Does make you wonder what he's going to carry in it!
  17. Thanks Stitchwizzard, I see you sew leather. What Singer machine do you have to sew with. I may be starting to look for a simple machine to start out with. Thanks
  18. Wow, very nice! They ought to love it! What is your color combo? Very pleasing color.
  19. You can get the triple loop info in the Lacing and Stitching booklet from Tandy. I've also seen it on Ebay. Also there's instruction online and I can't remember the site if I do I'll get it to you. It takes 9 times the length in lace.
  20. That's a real nice looking tool roll Shadowryder!
