Very nice! Love the color and antique look! Photos look good even without the light box.

For me...ALWAYS money up front. I learned this in our other business of 25 years. People don't always keep their word so if they have money down most won't chance losing it by backing out. And if they don't have the money for a down payment they probably don't have the money for the project anyway.

Beautiful! Your interior looks very nice. I especially like the look of the back of the wallet. Nice color! -
Phil, Thanks...seat was tooled...then formed while still a little moist...actually not much moldling involved. The leather easily forms the curves and no glue involved and of course there's neoprene foam on the pan.

Hi John, It's just the triple stitch and easy to do...I could do it with my eyes closed. I think the key here is the width of the lace. I've started using 1/4" (a suggestion from someone on here). I also think the straight slots instead of holes makes for a cleaner look. I learned it from the Lacing and Stitching booklet from Tandy.

Hi David, I get mine from www.accufast2d.net They are 10 gauge and very nice pans. They have a good variety of styles. Although you might have to fabricate your own pan so it will work.

Here is a seat I've done before but this one is in black with wider lace and a different pan.

Nice looking seat! -
I love your carved design on the front! I'd like to get away from the kits too but there's a lot to figure out if I want to make changes.

Very nice seat!

Well Bobby, I was just changing it up for the style of the bike... I usually do the triple stitch. Haven't done the mexican round yet. Maybe on the next one.

Cool! It will be interesting to see some of your work. I like the look of western firearms.

Shading is done around the cards now and ready for leather balm.

Sorry, yes Fiebings alcohol dye!

I haven't done any braiding. Just lacing. That seems weird that it would bleed out. You say it's stiff right off the roll? And in your other post did you say you got it from Springfield leather? I've not had that happen from the rolls I've gotten from Springfield. My only thought is the lexol is releasing the dye. Can you braid without putting anything on it?

Thanks for the comments...I'm going to finish up by some shading on the cards and then leather balm it. I have warned the customer about color staying. He has another seat of mine that he'll be switching back and forth and hopefully it will last for a while. I haven't used Tan Kote. As far as the coloring procedure I taped off the cards and airbrushed the green on first then took the black around the edges to finish up.

Just about finished. Airbrushed the color on this one. I think it turned out pretty good.

I don't know anything about guns or holsters but they look very nice. I'm looking for a machine too. Welcome to the forum!
