  1. Beautiful again...do you mind sharing your finishing technique or do you want to keep it to yourself? Thanks
  2. Well I posted my first wallet a few weeks ago and it started something....I have 5 more to make. I was asked to make the front hunting and the back for his job in the Army. I hope he likes it!
  3. Cool! And where did you get the chain??
  4. It doesn't look like veg-tan to me either. It looks like some oiled leather like I have. I guess the real question is.... will it hold the stamping impression?
  5. Very Cool!
  6. You must have forgotten to attach your photo.
  7. As far as Ebay and Paypal screwing you...do you mean the charges for selling and using their system? If I've ever had a problem Ebay and Paypal have ALWAYS fixed it for me. I haven't had trouble with them. If we didn't use Ebay my husbands business would be 3/4 of what it is. I think the charges are cheap for getting it in the face of millions! It has also increased his hits and sales on his website. I feel safe with both Ebay and Paypal. Just my opinion.
  8. The guy I got it from used it on leather. I tried it on 3 oz. leather and it works. I'm sure on thicker stuff it would be a problem. I just thought it was cool how it works.
  9. Another fine wallet! Can you explain the difference between bridle leather and veg? I suppose I should know this by now.
  10. Wow, those are spiffy looking!! Nice work!
  11. If you don't have any guilds or Tandy close by what about befriending an upholstery shop. They have heavy duty machines and could show you attachments and use. Just a thought. Other than that as said in other posts YouTube videos could be of assistance.
  12. That first one's a beauty!!! Nice sheathes!
  13. Welcome...Your English is better than my German! You will learn alot here.
  14. Amazing work!!
  15. Welcome! Nice work! Good luck with your new store.
  16. Thanks for the comments...Very intense carving and stamping....does anyone else adjust your patterns or drawings to accommodate a better end result? I felt in areas that were tight I could have changed it slightly to make it better. Just curious and wondering how you go about doing it.
  17. Next seat in line for a customer in the Air Force. Not sure what the dyes will be on this one.
  18. Bag punch? Or Oblong punch? I've not seen one with the diamond shape.
  19. Huh, interesting knife! I think I might hurt myself mincing with that!
  20. Has anyone ever seen one of these? I just bought it. You fill the cup on top with eyelets and they automatically line themselves up. All you do is press the handle.
  21. Here's how I do it...I make the bottom first with appropriate holes... glue it to the bottom of the pan...then I cut a top just a little bit larger....if you need to form it, do it....while it's wet I clip it all the way around with office clips...I let it dry... one clip at a time I take one off and mark each hole through the seat bottom holes so all are marked...I also draw around the bottom to make the exact pattern for the top then cut off excess....then I punch the holes. I know others have different and maybe better ways than me. If I have a photo I'll post it. Good luck
  22. Very nice...I like the color you chose!
