THAT IS BEAUTIFUL! I love the pleated area behind the zipper. Looks like it's easier to access. I also love the design. -
Nice work, Tree Reaper. Those are called 'Money Plant'. When the plant dries for fall it looks like it has coins on it.

I stumbled upon this site about 21 months ago. I have learned a lot from Leatherworker. But for the newcomers I have noticed it's important to get the right information...right from the start....from the right people...with the right knowledge. I know not everyone has a talent for leather. So when questions arise from someone that could be good at leather work, you hope they get the right information. I've noticed in a few posts (and just a few) that answers being posted are mere guesses or suggestions without proof. --That just sends people in the wrong direction -- My suggestion for the future newcomer is to check out the info given. To prove that the info is right I usually go to profiles, members websites and look at all product that has been made and to see if they know what they're talking about. This for me is how I've advanced in leather work. There are some GREAT leather workers here...the newcomers need to seek them out!

Background And Bevels Just Don't Stay Down
benlilly1 replied to c2369zulu's topic in Leatherwork Conversation
I know for me...I always case my leather. I never just wet it with a sponge. With this method I'm sure of having a good outcome for stamping. Make sure it's back to the natural color. It may seem like it's too dry but in reality the center is just right to take the impressions. If it still feels cool to your face it's ready to go!! Good luck on your next project.
