Gun Belt Questions
glockanator replied to glockanator's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks Dwight -
I bought a pattern pack from Tandy for a basic gun belt pattern. On the pattern it says for 44" add +X etc etc. My question is if I have a 36" waist how much slack do I add for to that to have a comfortable belt. I should mention this is for a cowboy style belt/holster combo. Thanks

Cross Draw Angle
glockanator replied to glockanator's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have made a holster for this guy in the past and after he complained about it for weeks and I remade it twice I told my self I would not make him anything else not worth the aggravation. I bid the holster WAY higher than I Normally would have. Well it kind of back fired on me and he agreed on the price. -
I have this gentleman who want a cross draw for a Sig X5 competition. I have never attempted to make a cross draw and was wondering what the best angle is to have the gun sit at. He wants a pancake with a thumbbreak. Thanks for the advice.

I guess you could take a large nail and file and make a pattern you like and go about it that way. -

Is This Holster Safe
glockanator replied to cleanview's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I was just about to say. If you have any doubt in your mind than NO its not safe. I was in the same situation a little while ago on a personal holster. After it was sitting on the bench for a week or so I was so uncomfortable with the thought of wearing it or having it around that I cut it up and thre it away. Always go with your gut. -
How Did He Do It?
glockanator replied to KalL's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
My guess is it's his presser foot on his machine. You can see where he went outside his groove on the front near the bottom. But that is just a guess. -
I realize this is pretty old thread but I just noticed that Savoy Leather is doing a LV holster. I am not going to post any of his pictures but you can find them on instagram and Facebook. Just thought some of you might be interested in it.

Cowboy Style Holster
glockanator replied to glockanator's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
THANKS! I will try that -
This is the first holster of this style I have ever made and I am having some issues with it.when put on the belt and you try and pull the firearm from the holster it tends to want to rock the top of the holster into the body and the bottom away from the leg Making it very awkward to draw

Is this still available?

It's not a shoulder rig but this is what I came up with.
