Speed Loader Case
glockanator replied to indidana's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
How are you going about making the pattern? If I was going tonmake one I would wet mold around the speed loader and ammo. -
Have you considered getting a cheap set of ebay and using that as your pattern?

Zippo Pouch
glockanator replied to ETW Grumpy's topic in Purses, Wallets, Belts and Miscellaneous Pocket Items
Looks good. If its for a customer I put my mark on the back. I think it makes it look nicer. I have seen some beautiful holsters ruined by a giant makers mark on the front of the holster. -
I have an order for a Sig P238. I have a tracing of the firearm but now the customer wants to add a crimson trace trigger guard laser on his firearm. By any chance does any one have a pattern for this they would be willing to share?

Thanks. I was going to pick this up for around 20 bucks or so but I think I will pass for now. Thanks for the information on it.

Just curious what this does? Is it suppose to be a swivel knife of sorts?

Bullet Loops On A Sewing Machine.
glockanator replied to glockanator's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
To be honest i think part of my problem is the loop leather I am using is still just a touch to thick. I am going to make a quick splitter out of a razor and MDF and see if I can get better results. -

Bullet Loops On A Sewing Machine.
glockanator replied to glockanator's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
I have watched the Richard Black video about 3 dozen times. I appreciate you suggesting it. I have been trying to use Richards method. I have been practicing on scraps. The first stitch looks good. When I go back diagonal is where it gets wonky.its kinda hard to explain i will post some pictures tomorrow when I get back to my shop. -
I am working on a "cowboy" belt holster combo. This is by far the worst project I have ever taken on. This will be my first and last. Any way back on topic. I need to do some bullet loops for 45LC. I have a Boss sewing machine but I can't seem to get decent looking loops. Is sewing the best way to do these? Any suggestions? Thanks

The book How to make holsters has everything you need. It can generally be picked up fairly cheap.

Thanks for the replies just waiting on the measurements. My other question is to find the center for the names do I measure to the halfway point between the buckle and the hole closeted to the buckle?

glockanator replied to humperdingle's topic in How Do I Do That?
Ha ha ha ha glad I could help. I haven't tried it on leather by I am sure it will work the same as his plywood Dr Who print he did. On a separate note if any of you are into woodworking you should check out the rest of Steve youtube channel. He post once a week. -

The glue is a temporary bond until you can stitch. -

When Prototypes Go Wrong....

I always finish. Mainly because I am OCD and it drives me nuts to have a half done project. The other reason is once finished it eill show everything that's wrong with it. -
I have not heard on what they want/are doing with the leather. If they decide they want it I am going to try and buy it back from them.

I got word today that insurance will cover all the leather that was lost. Now if they could work a little faster on getting the shop finished so I can get back to making stuff!
