Lasered Goodness G27 Iwb
glockanator posted a topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
The wife told me she wanted the G27 for Christmas. After she carried it for a couple of days she decided she wanted an IWB. This is what I came up with. -
Looking For A Minimalist Wallet Pattern...tboyce?
glockanator replied to J W Craftsman's topic in Patterns and Templates
Why don't you just email/private message him. He is a member of the forums. Check this link to a video he did. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=48745&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1 -
This is the first (and possibly the last) cross draw holster I have done.

No problem

This is what the finished project will end up like

Basically you have d rings at the bottom to make a loop. Once said animal is inserted into the strap the weight of the animal holds it to the strap (kinda like a noose) making carrying several animals much easier.

Here is a better copy of the pattern thanks to TBoyce for doing this. Print this on 8 1/2 X11 game strap.pdf

I had Tboyce do this pattern up for me and thought I would share it. This is for when you are carrying your birds or rabbits back to the truck. It is pretty straigt forward just need some d rings and rivets. I can get two-three birds per line so approximently 12 birds per strap. game strap.pdf

First Project Pistol Pouch
glockanator replied to ChiefStealth's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Sounds like a fun project. Almost all my projects I use 6-7 Oz leather mainly because that's what I have on hand. -
half the of the thickest part of the firearm plus the the thickness of the leather. I usaually just trace said firearm and put my stich line a 1/2 inch from that.

Lace-on boot holster. - http://pinterest.com/pin/441071357230327942/?s=3&m=drive I thought this was a pretty good design. -
This is not mine but this is where I got my inspiration from. I have seen them with a strap to go around the neck so you could have two sets of straps.

This is the best I can do I don't have a scanner. You will also need some d rings and rivets or you could see the d rings on. I have started skiing the last inch to inch and a quarter to make it easier to put the rings on. I will look for a picture of a finished one to show how to put the rings on.

If you are looking for something to carry your game you should look into making a game strap. Made a couple this year for the duck hunt. I can't get 8 birds on each strap. I can send you a copy of my pattern if you would like.

357 Magnum Special Short & Lady Gun Holster
glockanator replied to akuluka's topic in Patterns and Templates
To be honest it will be really hard to make holsters for those with out the gun. -
We made one at work out of a band saw blade and plywood. Just a simple rectangular shape for lead door bags. It did not work out all that well.
