  1. WOW, Gary, those feathers look great. The color is perfect. How did you attach that piece to the seat. I couldn't figure that part out.
  2. I get those emails all the time, oddly enough not enough people look at the URL in the address area of their browser upon going to this link. If you notice it will be an IP address or something completely arbitrary.com. If it was from paypal and a link for you to fix your account the address in the URL area of your browser would begin http://paypal.com not http://192.168.0.1/paypal. Those guys are getting sneaky that's for sure.
  3. Hey Kevin, What sizes of leather and what type are you using for that card holder, it looks great.
  4. Paasche has a millenium set that is a dual action. Becareful buying direct because the one I've priced is called the Mil-Set and Paasche has it for 102.00 but you can get it elsewhere for 69.00. The third parties can sell it at much more of a discount than buying direct.
  5. Matt, Not sure who you ride with or where you ride but I belong to the Southern Cruisers Riding Club that has chapters world wide. They are based out of Tennessee. They are not brand specific but believe in safe riding. We ride with groups in the realm of 14-30 bikes sometimes. I'm sure there would be a chapter in your neck of the woods that organize rides throughout the riding season. On a second note, I think you picked a wonderful bike and I'm sure you've put some miles under the tires since you got it. Always remember keep both wheels down and in between the paint.
  6. Do any of you guys that use this stuff have a problem with the color? Let me explain; I grabbed a piece of scrap last nite and some shearling to lay the stain on, I put one coat on and it looked fine, waited 2-3 minutes and applied another coat. When the second coat went down there was a strange greenish tint to the color. This weird discoloation did not go away upon buffing either. It was there to stay. Any ideas why that is? It's happened on more than one occasion, and im thinking of steering clear of that stuff if that's how it works.
  7. Haven't made it to the storing leather portion of the shop yet. Still working on tools. Still need compressor/airbrush/drill press/Rivet Gun then I believe the bulk of the tools will be in house then I can start stocking the leather. But storage of it may be an issue. Any ideas?

If it's on a linux or apache web server it would appear as if your httpd.conf file needs to be situated. Or you've put your index.html file in the wrong place.
  9. WOW ! Those pumpkins are incredible. The stem looks real, definitely doesn't look like a render of a pumpkin by no means.
  10. hey there Mike, The checkbook looks real nice. Welcome to the forums. You found a great resource here at leatherworker.net. There are loads of knowledge here. I look forward to seeing some more of your work.
  11. Funny you mention steve. I spoke with him last nite, he's at some trade show though. I had to talk with Tom this afternoon but we put our brains together and figured out that it was the little finger like thing in the rear of the thread controller that had too much gap which was allowing the thread to pop out. Thanks
  12. Don't get the wrong idea, it's no where near the setup some of you have but it's my own. It's 10' x 12' that I sectioned off in the basement. I've been gearing up for the past few months to get a good start on leatherworking and so far all I have to show for it is this shop. I hope to be turning out some product soon, anyway here's my walk through. This is the new bench I built last weekend, I think I went overboard with the lag bolts The new cut table, probably going to turn into a dye table sooner than later withe Linux box sitting in the corner there. The new Artisan along with my added winter heating device (electrical radiator). Also you can see the 5 in 1 cutting tool(Simply love this thing) The wall of shame, This is where I put everything that I'm too disorganized to organize(hope that makes some sort of sense) A couple more computers adorn the wall of shame as shrek looks over the shop. Also some foam samples for footbeds of sandles I hope to be putting together soon.
  13. The View New Posts problem doesn't have seem to affected the My Assistant View new posts. I'm able to click my assistant then click New Posts and see the new posts. So if you're having problems seeing the new posts by using the View New Posts button, have a look at the My Assitant link just to the right of View New Posts, then you'll be able to see the new posts. How many times did i say new posts in that thread?
  14. Not sure if this would be of use http://www.eleatherworks.com/product.php?p...=803&page=2
  15. Ok, the machine finally has been assembled and I appear to be having a problem with the threading. The thread seems to "ALWAYS" pop out of the Thread Controller then gets wrapped around it in a funky manner and eventually pops the thread. Anyone have a 618-1sc they can help me thread this thing, i may be doing something awfully wrong and I don't want to harm my shiny new machine.
  16. Very nice looking piece of crappy leather. I think the crappy leather makes the project. Any chance on getting dimensions of pieces cut? I'd love to make one of these.
  17. Ok, everything was going fine the rust blew right off like you said. 2 Days later I woke up in a hilltop cornfield with some severe burns on my toe and thumb. I think I'll try the next solution you gave, the first was waaaaay to dangerous & painful
  18. I thought this was leatherworker forum, I appologize for being in the wood workers forum. WICKED WORK ! !
  19. That tickled my curiosity bug, mind explaining?
  20. Nice David, Do you think it is easier to use a touch up gun or an paasche airbrush? Im still stocking up on tools and what not so Im curious if I need to purchase both? Can't find that buckskin/medium brown stain anywhere, where are you getting it from.
  21. Hey Freak, That thing looks great, since your into ambigrams have a look at this one Click Here
  22. I just spilled my rum ! ! That is awesome dave can I come over?
  23. I've done business with them as well. I will not be able to speak about shipping because I usually just drive down there. They are about 30 minutes from me. They do alot of volume out of their place. Nice group of folks. It's a family run thing.
  24. I hear folks speaking of this alot. My questions are 1) Is there a certain size of antler that's best 2) Certain hardness the antler should be 3) or should I just find some road kill and cut one off and call it good?
