  11. I'm wondering if once i atom wax and finish the project can I begin to soak it down with neatsfoot oil to make the vegtan much more pliable? I'm going to be starting a guitar strap in the next couple weeks and the guy wants it tooled but also wants it to be supple like the chrome tan/latigo type leathers. So is the neatsfoot oil the way to go? Should I neatsfoot before the atom wax? Any ideas welcome, Oh and in advance in the event I neglect the most important part. Thank You for anytime you may spend on your reply. Thanks a ton guys/gals

  14. Hey Ian, I just got your messages. I wasn't sure what the one was about thank you though. If I neglected somewhere in my previous response to say thank you I do appologize. I'm not one to normally forget formalities but I was drinking last nite and was in a hurry to get off to bed so I wasn't up to par. But, to ease your mind all the time that you spent replying and explaining certainly did not go unnoticed. I'm always appreciative for the sharing of knowledge so if I made you feel unappreciated again I appologize. Thanks again for your time and in the future if I neglect a propper thank you be sure to give me razzin again. I tried sending this as a PM, It appears as if IAN is not accepting PMs, sorry about the forum post.

  17. I've been using leather balm with atom wax as a finish. I use some shearling to put it on. This latest project which was a belt for my nephew i put it on and it caused undesireable streaking. Is there a way to avoid the streaks?
  18. hey guys, I had a friend make me a small seat pan, it's only 8"x11". I wanted to use this as a learning piece instead of starting out on my giant seat thats on my honda. I've glued the closed cell foam down to the seat pan and shaved it like i want it. Here's my problem. What is the best way to get the top of the seat traced out for the leather. I have some posterboard that I layed on top but everytime i trace it and cut it , it just isn't working. Maybe some of you guys can give me the magic tip to get the shape right for the top of the seat. Thanks. *Think I'll go golfing now, tad frustrated at this point... Be back in about 4 hours. hahah thanks for the help

  22. Freeak, thanks for the comment, Really the wallet is 4 foot x 5.5 foot. The anaconda i used was a baby. ( Just kidding folks ) Killed this anaconda in my backyard feasting on the neighbors dog. *insert laugh ( You'd be amazed at all the wildlife in my yard ) I got the snake hide from a company out in CA, currently at office and don't recall name but when I get home I'll look at invoice, If you're still interested PM me Ken. Thanks for the compliment, It's printed cotton designed by Alexander Henry. Google his name and skull and you should see a bunch show up. Possibly some that sell and or shop to UK Thanks Tom, You guys are kind for not pointing out the stitching errors.
