  1. I don't get why you all can't / won't read...the post at the top of this page states he's not allowed to distribute the pattern...I referenced this in the post directly above yours.
  2. PM sent re: the sheer dearth of information you'll receive on that from people on here...
  3. Looking for an accurate pattern to make this if anyone has this pattern, please... http://www.victoryge...rimaryCatID=58 Here is a reproduction of the same case... http://onlinemilitar...p?id=3580&bc=no Thanks for any leads...

Yeah...when I saw over forty people had viewed the thread and not made a single comment, I deleted the pic. Figured no one cared. Thanks for your note though...

    Ok, forget it then.
  6. I'm only an intermediate leathercrafter and even I don't want anything to do with Tandy tools...I agree with Chief...

Thought folks might like to see this...just finished covering it tonight. I've had it for a few years, but just found it again a few days ago. It's about 3.5" long...works very nicely for knotting with tiny strings. It's really a scratch awl...I've been thinking about rounding the point, but haven't done that yet... Pic in next post because this forum software doesn't work the way it should...
  9. How do you get the sides nice and flat...and with 90-degree corners? I like the looks of it with it being a good rectangular shape...
  10. Well...my machine was bought new by me and hasn't been heavily used...I guess I will try to find out about adjusting the lift to see if I can get it higher...
  11. Which one was the good one?
  12. When my machine does that, it's usually while trying to sew very thick stuff...like several layers of 1000D Cordura...does the exact same thing you're talking about...I know it is supposed to be able to sew through that thickness, so I wish I knew what was causing it on mine too...
  13. PM sent re: springfield leather.
  14. You might wanna read post #18 in this thread, above...or better yet, post #16. (I wouldn't hold your breath on that if I were you...)
  15. Neat...is that braided around a flat core of some type? Did you cut the lace yourself?
  16. You know...it's just not that important and no one would care about what I was going to say anyway. Nevermind.
  17. I am by no means trying to say I'm perfect. And certainly not advocating perfection just for perfection's sake (though I do strive to be as perfect as possible in my leatherwork). Unfortunately, with web addresses perfection is mandatory or it won't work at all.

One more for you, Electrathon...what types of thread would work best for stitching these and/or what type thread would be most authentic? Thanks again for your help...

Thank you very much for that info, Electrathon. I appreciate your answering my questions with good, straightforward information. Thanks again.
  20. Entire discussion about this exact topic: http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=51046
  21. Your second link is wrong and doesn't go anywhere. Fortunately, I gave him the correct one to that place last week in my previous post. This may truly come as a surprise to folks, but in order for a URL to work correctly, every character in the URL has to be correct. If it's off by even one character, it won't work. I'm not trying to sound like a smart-alec...I think some people may genuinely not understand that because I see it happen very frequently. It's best to test it out before posting if in doubt.
