The Adler 67 has no Chinese clone if you mean that. There are after market parts but they are few - mainly presser feet and hooks. There maybe some minor parts like screws interchangeable but don´t count on that. I´m not sure but it could well be that needle bar is interchangeable with Pfaff but have not measured it. Also the 545 is a large hook machine whereas the 67 is a small hook machine.

Odd Neeple Tips & KOOLTORR Needles - WFT
Constabulary replied to Constabulary's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Thanks Bob - and that black coating really helps? I mean the surface is not as smooth as a chromium finish. I know Torrington METWAR now belongs to GB. Do they still make them? Don´t think so or... Answered the other question my self - RTFM (Schmetz Needle tip PDF from their website) Tip is LBR but seems this is a "regular stock" tip at SCHMETZ needles. I just have not seen this before... Anyway - some pictures -
Does someone know what the purpose of KOOLTORR needles is? They are dull black "coated". Never seen this before. I also have some 134 (R) Schmetz needles with very odd needle tips that look like a small blade - will post pictures tomorrow...

Recommendation - Jack Jk-561A-1 Servo Motor
Constabulary replied to Constabulary's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I have removed the NPS from the motor as I found it does not work in combination with my speed reducer and at the slow peed I´m sewing I don´t need it at all. So I unfortunately cannot help as I have not installed it and I have the same poor manual that you have. But I hope someone else can help you. -
Gregg, any chance that one of the belts for the 107G / 107W would work?

The tip of a new bell crank lever is 5mm thick so you can compere how worn it is.
-
What I would do is - check is the teeth on the foot are worn down / no longer sharp, lower the presser foot bar until it touches the needle plate and check if you have installed the stitch length adjuster correctly -> the wedge of the gib has to be up and the wedge on the inside of the adjuster has be down side. Increase foot lift. Check if the lifting lever shaft lever is tight (should be pinned if I remember correctly but not sure) And in worst case replace the bell crank lever.

Yep, I bought another one - 111W117
Constabulary replied to dikman's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
the w117 was a machine with trimmer for sewing sleeves in coats. I have a Singer 111 brochure, I will scan it and post it in the days to come. Brochures say it has an automatic tension adjuster and vertical trimmer -

Constabulary replied to Constabulary's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Ha ha - okay - so its for the Adler 5 / 105. Who els should have that information - thanks again Jimi. I could use a copy too. Jimi, if you cannot attach a PDF please send me a paper copy, I will cover your expenses of course. -
I have a bunch of Adler 69 OEM parts. 2x Hook + Bobbin case in orig. Adler plastic case, NOS, # 0695814, NOS $65 each (AFAIK fits Pfaff 335 as well) 3x Needle Bar # 069230014 + Holder (no needle screw but + 1 screw hor bar holder), NOS $55 each 2x Cylinder arm Hook Cover, # 069001550, NOS or maybe slightly used $55 each 3x Thread take up Lever # 0680150 NOS $25 each (2 holes is correct for single needle machines too) 2x Tension Unit, complete, slightly used, # 067000224 $55 each 1x Needle plate / throat plate holder (the part where the cylinder arm hook cover slides on) # 069001590 $60 Parts may fit for other Adler machines too but please compare parts numbers. Fair priced I think... However - 10% off when taking at least 2 parts. I take paypal, will ship worldwide. Registered Airmail (trackable through USPS website is $8 per items or I have to check shipping costs by weight and / or value. Some pictures - please send PM if interested.

Does someone know what purpose this needle plate and feed dog is for? I have not found them in my parts list though I think I have seen these parts before.... Will take a picture of the installed parts later.

Are Pfaff 335 and Adler 69 cylinder arm caps interchangeable?
Constabulary replied to Uwe's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
ha ha - very cool! in the UK someone sell Pfaff covers for a fair price too: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PFAFF-335-BOBBIN-CASE-COVER-CYLINDER-ARM-WALKING-FOOT-INDUSTRIAL-SEWING-MACHINE-/281306490911?hash=item417f2c681f:g:S84AAOxyeZNTVnsc -
probably depends on age and subclass. AFAIK Singer even sold Adler's 220 as their Singer 144w when they no longer produced them by their self (not too unusual). I´d check with Bob at Toledo Sewing Machines or Gregg from Keystone Sewing Machiens - they are long time dealer and for sure have lots of old records back to the stone age.

Frobana machine weights ~35Kg, the crate I have to build will weight approx 15Kg so UPS shipping for a 50Kg package w/o building the shipping crate is 225€. Making a proper shipping carte from 1/2" plywood + 1" internal reinforcement planks, external heavy carton box, tape and other packaging material is approx 70€ So a good guess is 300€ for UPS shipping to the US incl. a custom made crate. EU shipping is cheaper and will be on a palett by freight forwarder.
