  1. Does someone have information about this Singer 132K SV 11? To me it looks like a 132K6 variant but with (I guess) on/off for the top feed mechnism. I at least have no other explanation for the "device" on the backside (note lever left of top feed mechanism).
  2. http://www.ronsew.com/hook-driving-pinion-thrush-washer-singer-111g-111w-211g-211u-211w-112w115/ Or check with Toledo Sewing Machines or Keysew.com
  3. Interesting PDF - any chance you have the whole catalog as PDF. Thanks again Eric. Folders are on hold.
  4. If someone wants one (or all) I´d say $15 each + shipping is fair. If so please send a PM. Thanks Eric!
  5. Haven´t even thought of "plain" handles - I was thinking of "tear drop" shaped handles with an insert of some kind... okay - got it... How much would cost they new? I have no use for them and would sell them if someone is interested.
  6. I once got these folders with an old Adler 4 machine (long time gone) and since that day they "rest" in a dusty drawer. I haven´t seen folders of this size ever before. I have no clue how to use them as I´m not making any handles or the like. Maybe another "devices" is needed for an inlay for the handles... I honestly don´t know so maybe someone can ID them and probably has use for them. One has a paper tag reading "Taschenhenkel alte Adler Masch." meaning "bag handle old Adler machine"... On the other side the name of the saddler is printed but seems this sadder no longer exists. These folder are really big. One picture shows the smaller folder in comparison with a Adler 69 / Pfaff 335 binder so you see they are really big. I cannot use them....
  7. it is completely deleted, this was the ebay number 222465889593. I asked the seller if he has a 1 phase 220V version and shortly after that the listing was gone. This was the seller: http://www.ebay.com/sch/bemrich61391gfh/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=
  8. it´s gone... what was that....?
  9. shipping is world wide so if you have 110V... I live in 220V country so nothing for me (wondering if the is a small 110V to 220V switch inside...)
  10. Well, I do not evaluate the seller or the offer - I just found it randomly: http://www.ebay.de/itm/NEW-Genuine-CONSEW-SERVO-MOTOR-CSM1000-FOR-INDUSTRIAL-SEWING-CS1000-3-4HP-/222465889593?hash=item33cc001539:g:X~EAAOSw~OdVX1Zo Just thought it could be a good deal - he is taking paypal so purchase should be protected.
  11. aaaah - I see... havent noticed the masking tape
  12. Once had one of these - nice little machines for light leather work. Your has a Singer 29K treadle base. Machine has no reverse and sews well with #96 thread - haven´t tried any thicker back then. I had mine set up for 135x17 needles but standard is the 16x2 / 16x1 needle. Hooks, Bobbins and some other parts are stil available - some parts form other machine like Singer 16 could fit as well.
  13. looking forward to seeing more pictures of your machine. There can´t be enough documentation for these nice vintage machines.
  14. Just noticed you found EVO´s parts sale thread already - would have suggested this too
  15. why have you over painted the badge and pins? I could use a therapy because of sewing machines . More sewing machines make it even worse
  16. Please post some pictures and / or parts number of your current feed dog - could be that your machine no longer has the original feed dog - who knows.
  17. I think he meant how the whole rig is attached to the "wearers" body - or so....
  18. since it has a roller foot is most likely is a needle feed machine or just drop feed. Tricky thing on old Adlers often is the timing belt - if it is made of brown material and the material already shows cracks I would not buy it. Replacing a timing belt on an old Adler is a real pain. Did that once for a friend - don´t want to do it again.
  19. For sure an interesting technique and its great to learn about it but wouldn´t it be easier to use a good glossy spray paint and apply 4 or 5 layer - or so? I know its not as authentic as japanning but at the end it will look almost the same I think and it takes less time and probably is cheaper too. The polished hand wheel looks great BTW !!!!
  20. probably because they are long living and reliable...
  21. too bad I´m on the other side of the pond
  22. yes, thats the 45K needle. Total Length is 60 / 62 mm. Shaft top to needle eye is 52mm. But the shaft diameter varies
  23. Since it is a Juki I´m sure it uses Singer 111 type feet
  24. You can call a JB weld repair what ever you want - as long as it delivers a good result its not better or worse that any other repair. Even when you call it a "bodger" repair - who care when it works. A lot depends on repair situation and how you prepare a certain repair. Not everybody is a professional and / or needs the best professional solution. And when you live in a remote / rural area and have no access to professional welding or brazing and have to deal with what you have then JB weld really can be a life saver. There is always a pro and contra... at the end you have to decide what you want to "invest" for a repair on a fairly common sewing machine. It often is an economical decision.
