I am in shock! not been here for a while. I never know what to say but... I remember kind words and support from Drac to many of us here. My thoughts go out to everyone touched by this sad event. I would like to propose a toast to celebrate, all the positive things that Drac has left us with, all the help, support, laughs and friendship "absent friends, lost... but not forgotten." Be at peace, Drac.

I make the occassional sheath myself, none as nice as yours though so I may come chasing for info.

Welcome, ok suppliers first Le Prevo Tandy uk Will do for know they are who i use, le prevo first as tandy can be a little expensive and you gotta have a credit card, I have some leather collar blanks if you want a couple for a starter, if you do you can pm me. I was given them by my mentor who has imposed on me the curious affliction of wanting to help others. You will need to buy the furniture/hardware. I would recommend looking up saddle stitch in the forum or on the net. The collar blanks are however nearly together, just need stitching. If you want sude backing you will have to sort that yourself as I have run out for the moment. IMHO You will need a stitch groover, an awl, some waxed thread, a ruler (to space the stitching) or a stitching wheel, two saddlers needles, some contact adhesive. Anything I've forgotton folks?

What do you use to seal the surface, your colours are always soooo vibrant, is it just that your sooo talented (which of course is the case) or do you have a secret finish I have tried resoline and didn't like it, streaky and fiddly for my fat man hands, carnuba wax seems to take off some of my colours, i like antiquing wax but it dulls everything etc etc. -
Time for another Pay It Forward?
Pip replied to TwinOaks's topic in Special Events, Contests and Classes
Ok, so this is the thing, I want to take part again.... however I am waiting to find out at the beginning of Feb whether I still have a job or not. I tell you this not for sympathy just as a warning that things may take me a while if I have to pick up two part time jobs to make ends meet etc. My employers have indicated that my service is next to be looked at, so because they just wiped out the whole of te last services they looked at I am sure it will affect me somehow. If you guys are ok with me taking more time to complete my PIf then I am in. -
