  1. Had a fellow ask me if I've ever made an appendix inside the waistband holster with an offset belt loop and mouth reinforcement before. I told him that I hadn't but that don't mean that I can't. He already has a belt that I made for him and he likes my work so he sent me a check. I made a construction paper mock up, he approved it so I started cuttin' leather. Paper mock up; Finished holster;
  2. Very nice. Only thing I can think of is a matching tooled ranger belt. Come spring you'll be ready for any BBQ.
  3. Updated with two new videos. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA
  4. I've been lookin' for a reasonably priced Colt 1873 SAA dummy gun, can you help me with that?
  5. I have a thread on a Ranger style belt I made for a client. He liked it so much he sent me pics of him wearing it with a couple of holsters I made for him. I might just have to make a belt like it for myself. Center hole, bullseye!
  6. Just had a client send me a gift. It's an all metal Smith and Wesson poster. Fits perfect on the wall over my work bench.
  7. Thanks and he does. He works part time at a gun shop and he's been showing it off. It's from an American Indian pictograph set I got from Tandy.
  8. A little, very little Neatsfoot Oil. Give it a day or so to dry. Then Tan Kote applied with a dauber, then the excess wiped away with a paper towel, allowed to dry for a day then a second coat applied and wiped away. Let it dry a bit then buff with a soft cloth. I think it looks purty.
  9. Just finished these three guys. Gonna give them the weekend for the final topcoat to dry, then off they go. Next up's a strong side, appendix carry, inside the waistband holster for a S&W J frame snubby.
  10. I've been working on my YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA Come on down and have a look, comment, like and subscribe.

I watched your holster You Tube. Great info. Thanks!

  11. Pretty nice. I recently finished one somewhat like it. The client wanted a basic black concealment holster with black stitches.
  12. Let's try this again. My new YouTube channel.

  13. I've been workin' on my YouTube channel; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA. Stop by, take a look, tell me what ya think, like and subscribe if you wanna.

  14. Just finished and buffed. The client wanted just a plain black holster with black stitching. However, I did find a hunk of "featured" leather to give it a little bit of style.
  15. I started my own YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA It's not intended to be a "how to" series but I'll have the camera rolling while I'm workin' on something. I'm still learning how to edit and splice. I started with my old beat up laptop's webcam. The pictures not the best and the sound doesn't work. My wife has graciously given me permission to use her shiny new laptop. I used it to video our cat and it came out rather well. I intend to get myself a proper video camera someday soon.
  16. Don't know if this'll help any but this just went out for $175.
  17. I reedited the video to include a little stitchin' action.
  18. Just go here; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOM3hbruUKHov9kquIxXKlA And click on Making a Ranger Style Belt
  19. Thanks all, biggest problem I'm having is that now I gotta send it out.
  20. He wanted a belt to match the crossdraw snubby holster I made for him.
  21. Just Finished a Ranger Style Belt for a client. Recorded this with my laptop's webcam. Can't seem to get the sound to work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktc4yLzAl_w
  22. I've been thinkin' (happens every once in a while) that maybe milled veg tan'd work as a lining leather. It's buttery soft. I make simple little soft sided pouches that sell well at area fairs and festivals with it. I was thinkin' (again?) of trying to use it to line a holster but was advised against it. It could hold moisture or grit that'd be detrimental on a hand guns finish. But maybe it'd work for lining other stuff.
  23. Dry fit, still needs stitching and finishing. I'm really pleased with it so far.
