  1. As far as using black dye, make your own. Take a quart jar fill it with steel wool, fill with apple cider vinegar an let set on the counter for 2 weeks, strain with cheese cloth. There you go. Dye your leather with this and it will never rub off no matter how hard you try. Any other color leave the back un-dyed. Burnish the raw edge an dip in Sheps Neatslene harness oil from Weaver Leather. Pure neatsfoot oil its to harsh.
  2. I have been thinking of buying an airbrush an was hoping to get your opinion on what kind you have or recommend. I want a good one, an where to buy it. Thanks
  3. In my honest opinion If you want to make a nice looking belt, make a 3 braid belt. I have had mine for 3 years now, I wear it every day, an I am a roofer, an it is still straight an looks good. As you an everyone knows after, you wear a regular striate belt, after a few times of wearing it starts to look all wavy.
  4. Can anyone tell me, is the #2206 snaps from Weaver Leather the same line 20 snaps from Tandy Leather? Would like to order some but not sure they are the same snap.
  5. I just use my right toe foot. To get a true round you need to have a rein rounder, A true round collar or what ever you will see no stitching, as you run it through the rounder it bury's the stitching
  6. Just go ahead an print it out. 3M glue it to some poster board an when cutting just add 2 cms to the width an cut there
  7. I think denim works better than ca I think you would get a better burnish using denim instead of canvas
