  1. I can see my needle! I was unable to get this close of a stitch before with the original foot. Since I can't afford a new machine with a roller foot I think this'll do.

  3. Hey, love the design. Looks real nice, as does all of your stuff. I was checking out your website. clean work. I've got a question. On your cuffs, How do you attach the outer straps? Kevin
  4. Thanks for the compliments. Tim, i'm not sure what size this thread is. I've had it for so long I don't remember. The horse design is the customers logo. Here are a couple more pics.

This may sound like a dumb question, but why do you boil the leather?
  6. So, i'm making a toolbag right? and i'm trying to come up with some cool ideas that i've never seen. Anyway, my goal was to have the edges butt together instead of flesh to flesh joint. I may be mistaken, but i don't think I have ever seen this stitch before. Anyone else, in all your experience seen this before? This is just a practice piece. Let me know what you think. Kevin
  7. sps makes 300 bikes a year? wow. I know they have been selling franchises and what not, but i had no idea they were doing that much. So, my next question would be, who's making the other 220 seats?

  9. The first time i saw that style bag, i didn't like it, but, i think its starting to wear on me. I like what you've done with it.
  10. beautiful work bro. you always turn out some stellar craftsmanship
  11. thats pretty cool. I really like those mammograms..er...ambisol...er...ambigrams.
  12. Thanks for the compliments everyone. The woodgrain, I freehand with a swivel knife, you can't really screw it up, because woodgrain is kinda random anyway. Most of the cool look comes from the finishing. Using airbrush, I randomly spray with the grain feibings buckskin, then feibings med brown, then higlighter.
  13. Those look cool. What do the insides look like? Do you make the interiors?

  15. I've been watching a few items on ebay and have notice a trend in some of the bidders. Is there any signifigance (sp) in an ebayers name? For example does 1**1, or y**y mean anything? When I do a member search on these names they dont exist. Just wondering
  16. Thanks Tim, That info is very helpful. I dont plan on making a bunch of these. The only reason i am making this one is to match the seat I just finished. Thanks again for the info. Kevin
  17. tim, It is for a softail 2000-up. I already have the measurements for the bottom hole under the nose of the seat. What i'm needing is the part under the dash.
  18. I am making a tank panel for a customer, and only have the dims. from dash to bottom of tank. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how far up the leather goes under the dash? and if there are any mounting holes and what is the spacing? Thanks, Kevin
  19. If you have a core to wrap, you could do what I do on a purse I make. I Just cut the leather too short, make my holes straight through (no angle), then saddle stitch to draw the two sides together.
  20. Thats pretty amazing. How long does a vest normally take you to do? And did you say you dont use a machine on any of it? How do you sew in lining?
  21. Art, Thank you very much for all your help. I've got three new presser foot sets on the way! Kevin
