  1. the snaps are an off the shelf piece from my local leather shop that I have altered a bit to suit my needs. Hope to be making my own snap caps soon. KK
  2. You can get 3M 90 at lowes. It's about $13. I like it because its a web spray (not a mist) no overspray. It's basically contact cement in a spray can. You spray both pieces, let it set for a couple of minutes and BAM! Just make sure you get the positioning right the first time cuz once its set, its set. KK
  3. 3M 90 is what I use for all my linings. havn't had a problem yet. KK
  4. I wouldn't change a thing. Those are way way WAY cool. nice job. KK
  5. 10.5 X 7. I do make all the interior myself. This leather is 1 oz. cow.
  6. Orange. I think orange is beginning to be my fav color. Thanks Grump! Glad to see ya back!
  7. Thats coooooooooool! Just put some neatsfoot on it. Don't dye it. Or as Clint Eastwood would say: "Dyin' aint much of a livin' boy". KK
  8. This leather is pretty thick, i believe 5-6 oz. Its probly too thick, but its all i had at the time. The tooling is an inverted bevel on the lettering, and I kept it simple with the scroll work by using only my swivel knife. This wallet was real pretty before I put the !@#% black dye all over it. KK
  9. I posted this one before the great crash. But here it is again. The "pruf" (proof) is a play on the guys last name. It's been a while since i've done any tooling. I hate tooling letters. Let me know what ya'll think. Did I mention that I hate tooling letters? David is the King at that.
  10. thanks all. Beez, this is not the fisrt i've done with a zipper, but it is the best zipper i've done. Spider, I use a Juki 1541
  11. ya ya ya, aint you all just great. blah blah blah. its about time you got this place back up and running. JK. I know ya'll have been working like crazy, and is VERY much appreciated. Thank You!
  12. Black elephant, black cow overlay, black stitching. Interior is black cow with black stitching.
  13. Thats some nice clean work. I've been kicking around trying a sheath. I dont have a knife though. oh well.
  14. those are cool. the letters look nice. I hate doing letters
  15. Thats really cool! I like it. Its something you don't see here everyday. Youve added alot of nice touches. I havn't seen you round here in a while. Thought you'd left us. KK
  16. Thanks Ed. On the graphics i mostly hand crank, but i'm getting better at running the topstitch on the binding.
  17. Ok, here is my first attempt at a tri-fold wallet (full size). Black is cow, inside and out. all of the brown stuff is pig. orange contrast stitching. The snaps used to be black, but a wire brush and some sandpaper gave me that distressed look I wanted. I kept the overlay simple as this was an experiment. Let me know what ya'll think.
  18. Thanks all. I use a Juki 1541 and use two diff. presser feet; one is the standard that came with the machine (its huge) and for the topstitch work, i use a small little half foot that i can see my needle with. Tomswede, If he doesnt like it, you'll be the first one I call.
