  1. Man I can so relate to this. I've attended a number of shows where I didn't sell squat but took immense satisfaction knowing I had the hippest booth at the event. On one hand you have doing what you have to or need to and on the other there's making the world a more beautiful place and never the tween shall meet.
  2. Wow. You're not one to be easily intimidated by challenge, are you? I'd say that's a year 2+ project for most, certainly true in my case. My hat's off to ya.
  3. Custom made leather football squeaky toys, featuring handmade heavy duty squeakers, for my Labrador Receiver, Luci Lu and for a few friends.
  4. Well keep going Grey...you were on a roll,. Didn't dress the edges, got that big goofy number thing on the front. Btw, that leather sure looks familiar. At least you've done something with yours. I just keep moving my pile around. Yeah, I like your shabby chic bag...with the goofy number thing on the front. ;-)
  5. A couple drove several miles down a country road, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument, and neither wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules and pigs, the wife sarcastically asked, “relatives of yours?” “Yep,” the husband replied, “In-laws.”
  6. Ha, yeah "Mountain Home". Who would have thought that the name of a town could be a practical joke? I'll bet before there was radio and talking pictures it was great source of amusement for the locals to have "foreigners "ask where the mountains were. Spent some time in Idaho myself -- 12 years worth -- Moscow, Joel, Lowman, Stanley, Middleton, Boise and still have relatives in Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, and Boise. TBH, I don't miss it much. The wages were low and the prices were high and you're five hours to SLC, 8 to Portland, and 10 to Seattle. To say you're isolated is an understatement. But yeah, I I get that's what people like about it. I had friends who had never left the state their entire lives and that was fine by them. But there is one thing I truly miss about Idaho and that is authentic Basque Chorizo Smoked Sausage (not the Gem Pack stuff, but the "I know a guy who knows a guy stuff"). God I miss that sausage so....
  7. "Mongolian Pleather Purse Guild" Now that's funny right there. I don't care who you are, that's funny!
  8. We'll trade you Houston for a few mountains. Maybe even throw in Baytown. No, you can't have Austin. You don't have enough mountains for that.
  9. I agree. Here's the one I made to go with my Buddy's holster and it ended up a little wider than the holster. Visually it looks out of proportion relative to the mass of a holstered pistol. I like your idea of a snap on loop or even a clip. I'm gonna try that next time.
  10. What makes your work eye-popping is your dye work . Well, that and catchy design, visual balance, interesting focal points, flawless stitching, and all that comes with a lifetime of pursuing beautiful. Call it a Rifle Butt Cover if you like, I know what you're up to.
  11. Nah, I get it. I have a tutorial here as well that has thousands of downloads as well and I wonder sometimes what happened to the courtesy of at least saying thank you? That's the price of Sainthood I suppose. We give till it hurts and then give some more Btw, "Saint JLS" doesn't quite work though, does it? Have you considered.... "Saint Jimbo"? That has a nice ring and looks like it's available too. I must say though, 40,000 downloads is impressive as hell. My hat's off to ya.
  12. Exactly. The way I figure it is that If someone is kind enough to give you a pattern for free, the least you can do is either provide a photo of how it turned it out or a pic how much money you're making off their generosity.
  13. Thank you for the perfect pattern. +5 Good Luck Parking Spots Karma.
  14. Clap~Clap~Clap That was beautiful Clap~Clap~Clap

    Man that's a beauty
  16. I'm guessing some of you guys are still leasing wall phones from the phone company and would switch to a party line if it were offered. Lol Come on guys. The future has arrived. Forget social media, trip to Mars, self driving cars. They don't even qualify as child's play compared to what's coming up next -- Super AI. Read this and see if it doesn't set your hair on fire. Personally, I'm optimistic and eager for it to arrive.
  17. @GrittyRusticLeather Hahaha, not even a month into your membership and you're already stirring up controversy. I like you already!
  18. Oh, now I know why nobody replied. We all hate you. Man, that's gorgeous stuff, truly.
  19. I concur. I'm not familiar with A-hole thread but I'll take your word for it. How ya been man? Haven't heard from you in ages. Me? Just waiting for you to finish that comparison. Now I can die in peace. Good job. Edit: Well all be darned. There is such a thing as A-Hole Thread. What will they think of next? Edit 2: Moderator, is this post eligible for a sticky? It has my vote. This is as definitive and objective as it's going to get for thread comparisons. Well, after he updates it with A-Hole thread anyways
  20. Ah.... I was just wondering about your thread comparison project. And voila, here it is. I see that you took a neutral approach and just laid out the results of the comparison. Do you now have a personal preference after conducting this comparison?
  21. Saw this post for a US based supplier of Tiger Thread -- $30 for a full spool and free shipping. That's a heck of a deal for Tiger thread. Here's their Etsy site. I'm sticking with Twin Eagle but thought I would pass that along to the Tiger crowd.
  22. You are correct. Those soles shown in the photos are 1/2" which I got by doubling the 1/4" soling material. Well, I said in earlier post that I would sell this soling material @ $5 pair + shipping and I'll stick to that, but that would be for a pair of single layer 1/4". Shipping would be actual shipping costs of $13.45 for USPS Medium Flat Rate Box and that rate would apply for one pair up to ....? five pairs probably. However many can be stuffed in a medium box. So that's $13.45 plus $5 per pair up to five pairs lets say. You see what I mean? One pair is $18.45. Two pair is $23.45 -- more than half the cost for an entire 50' roll ($40 and free shipping) But if you are still interested, I'll ship them. You can pay me via PayPal at this email address clyde.seeger@gmail.com. I ship same day. I'll also include a cardboard template if you'll indicate the size (whole sizes only). edit: One pair is roughly equivalent to 2' linear feet, but I'll send enough for whatever size you have in mind.
