  1. Thanks Benlily! I agree sometimes it does look nice. However, with this wallets bevelling and burnishing the edges just makes them feel so much better in your hand.
  2. Thanks Bill! Your kind words are always greatly appreciated!
  3. It doesn't because its folded over. There is no cut edge.
  4. Thanks so much Rohn! I liked your green holster btw. It's always fun to see knife sheaths and holsters in colors other than black or brown!
  5. Here's a couple wallets I've done that show exactly what bill is talking about:
  6. Hello fellow leatherworkers, I've been busy utilizing the awesome brown CXL I got from Aurora Shoe Co. Here are a few more wallets in some differently styles. In the next couple of days I plan to release these to etsy as a wallet series made entirely of brown CXL. I cannot stress how much I love using this leather. I thought that CXL wouldn't take a burnish. However, I was wrong. The grain is so tight on this CXL it will absolutely burnish. I use saddle soap and then beeswax. The first wallet is a minimalist bi-fold stitched with linen thread I waxed myself. The second is a snap wallet stitched with Ritza Tiger Thread. The card wallet is stitched with Ritza Tiger Thread and lined with cotton duck fabric. Thanks for looking! Joe
  7. Those are top notch! Great job! I think your friend will be very happy. Making stuff for friends and family is so satisfying.
  8. No problem. There is a bunch of info out there on people modifying arbor presses to accept different hand tools.
  9. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-ton-arbor-press-3552.html That's the one I got. Plus you can usually find a coupon. I use it to affix my makers mark.
  10. Yes! Another way to achieve this is with an arbor press.
  11. I was in your situation not long ago. Long story short there is a learning curve but it is not steeper than anything else I've found in leatherwork. You can do it with time, patience, and pratice.
  12. You aren't going to like the price: http://www.davidmorgan.com/kangarooskins.html I found this as well: http://www.sheridanleather.com/category_s/1847.htm
  13. I second the quilting square. One of the best things I have ever bought for leatherwork.
  14. Very awesome! Great design and craftsmanship! How did you assemble the pockets?
  15. Sweet thanks! So I take it to a large format printer and tell them the image needs to be 42"X30" right?
  16. Hey Tom, How would you print this for the sizing to be right? There are no measurements on the pattern. Thanks again for the awesome patterns you share with everyone. I've been wanting to make a new bag and this one looks pretty sweet!
  17. I just assumed it was paypal...how else would you buy something from someone you don't know online?
  18. You seem angry. I don't think 25b is trying to bullshit anything.
  19. I'll take the cream tiger thread and the john james #4 needles.
