Welcome to the board Mulepackin! As you've allready seen there is lots of helpful people here so this is really the place where you can look forward to gain new experience, knowledge and new friends...even all the way from Sweden;-) Tom
  2. A very handsome and esthetic piece of book carrier Singteck! The namelogo is very goodlooking and match the estethics well by not taking over too much like a logo with lots of florals or other decor might have done. Tom
  3. Thanks a bunch Roo, Hidepounder, Josh and sdkid!!!! Summer seem far away...brrrr but it's a nice to know that we'll get there once again now that the wheel of the year is rolling in the right direction. Tom
  4. I've missed this post too, sorry! Boots look great, I can't really say I like the pink colour but looking past my pref they look really beautiful. Seems like very small and neat stitching, maybe a little late now but a close-up of stitching would have been very nice to see. Tom
  5. Thanks Darryl and happy new year right back at you!!! Refocus, Refocus, Refocus, Refocus,Refocus,Refocus, Refocus, Refocus, ..trying to get it into my head, lol. Hey is that beer in your glasses??? Dang it, I'm at work at can't drink right now. Keep 'em cool for me until morning and wait in the backroom of LW. I have sumting going on in there but heeeeey do not bring those strippers that brought strange diseases to a few people around here this time;-) Tom
  6. Thanks Hedge!! Don't have a convertion table for F to Celsius right now but we don't have alot of snow and it could have been lots colder really, still it is cold. Sure looks like you have the weather only a polarbear would feel comfort in on that pic;-) Glad to hear from you, missed my braiding tutor;-) Good to hear you look forward to get some serious leatherwork done!!!! Have the best 2009 Hedge!! Tom
  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL MEMBERS OF LW!!!!! From the cold and frostbitten kingdom of Sweden! I've been out of focus for reasons lately but wanna thank you all for a wonderful year. I experienced some new takes on leather over the past year and couldn't have done it without the help and support from all of you so thank you greatly for all help and great responses. I'm gunna try to clean up my act as soon as possible and concentrate on getting back more on the board aswell as getting some leatherwork done. Tom
  8. Happy new year everyone!!!! Celebrating at work here in a at the moment veeery cold Sweden!! Tom
  9. Lovely stuff and I really like the sunvisors. Very good looking carvings and owners will be happy. I do think the visors edges would benefit greatly if you ran them over with the edge beveler and maybe applying edgecote or if you have time, a good solid slicking. Still they look great! Tom
  10. Very neat and clean looking wallet Mark!! Pockets look really good! Tom
  11. Cool looking guitar strap, love the theme!!! Tom

Odd but very cool little thingie!!! Tom
  13. Very good looking braided handle and clutch!! Tom
  14. Hi and welcome to the board + viking hails from Sweden;-) I think you hvae just experienced how helpful and friendly this place is so no need for me to go through that but I can add that the coffee is good but do not eat the donuts if anyone offers you, they're just no good anymore;-) Tom
  15. Heey guys, I have never seen a barb wire that is actually really straight, be it on a fence or anything else...just an opinion. I did the barb wire on my strap with carving and beveler and the pattern used for it was not even near straight or even in thickness of the wire. I thought this maybe would collide with the olde English lettering wich (in my opinion) came out pretty close to perfect but it worked like a charm. Tom PS, that strap really is very good looking Brad. You earned the right to be proud!!!!!
  16. I'm with rdb on the white lace and x stitched sides. It looks very good. Nice!!! Tom

Looking good Josh! I think if you re-wet it just a little bit and and go over it with the modelling spoon and round off/dress all edges and re-shape things a bit with the spoon will give it a lift. The modelling spoon is sotr of a magic wand for me! Tom
  18. Very nice looking cuffs Freak!!! I really like the first one with the koi fish, the straps go really well with it! Well done!! Tom
  19. This is the best piece I've seen from you so far (based upon personal preference)!!! Welcome to the skullcrew!!! I don't feel it's to deep in colour but maybe better wait with judgement on that before it is seated on the bike. Love the lettering, it looks so good with the inlayed letters. Tom
  20. Looking very good Roger!! Nice ride and the seat suits it very well!! Tom
  21. Welcome to the board Wyldflower!! You certainly came to the right place if you want to learn more. People here are allways nice and helpful so if you have any questions, just pop 'em! Tom
  22. Thank you Craftsman!!! He he I love the benchpic too, this time around I did not clean up after the different steps so I couldn't resist buncing it up and take a pic. It's a lot more than one can think of when you see a finished item to complete things made out of leather. Thanks Kev, means alot to me!! I have looked for that glue but not found it yet but I found another brand but it just doesn't work very well. Wish I had put some more effort into the closing strap but I got some unexpected and very appreciated company for a few days that delayed me a little bit. Like I said in the initial post, things are a bit upside down in my life at the moment. Tom
  23. Good looking sissy bag! To bad you couldn't make out the fancier braid but heey you'll get there. Do a websearch for kingsmeres craft and you'll find decent tutorials for the basic braids and the mexican basketweave. I learned the mexican from there and that was the first braid I ever learned. As for the side gussets I'd recommend also leaving a flap instead of cutting flush where the top flap goes across. Make that flap rounded and it will allow for easy folding in when you close the main top flap. Hope I'll get the point through, kinda hard to explain on a coffeebreak at work;-) Good job, keep it up! Tom
  24. Like people allready said, gotta love black and red combos;-) Stunning work as usual and I'm even more awed now that I've tried my hand at a wallet!!!! Keep it up!! Tom
  25. Thank you Roo!! I know what you mean about the butterflies on the natural leather but I think the overall reddish antique look goes better for the whole piece but this was not my call to make. Customer was awed by this colour and required it. Just gotta practice more with that splice! Thank you Hidepounder!! The colouring of the butterflies took really much more time than I'd ever thought but it was all worth it and yes all those small pieces to fit together kinda got to my nerves a bit. Luckily there is contact cement and with edgebraiding one does not need to worry about the cement bleeding out at the edges. Thank you for the tip on the liner prob!! Tom
