I also picked up that head knife at Pendleton. It is holding the edge well, and fits my hand well. Well worth every penney payed for it. Also got a Douglas Long Chuck and 2 Awl Blades. A real pleasure to use.

I would buy from you. -
I will Go to Oregon Leather because of the sales people, and the Quality of their stock. It is faster and easier getting to the other one, but if Oregon doesn't have it I will mail order.

Years ago I made tools somewhat like this one for removing and installing keeper rings. Have seen nut starters or grabbers like that also. Can't say for sure what its for.

I have a tool like that one. Use it for punching lacing holes, glue a chunk of poundo board on the anvil. Makes for better holes.

I found a place in Salem that is grinding mine. They asked the right questions, didn't know it all, and listened to what I had to say. Will get it back next Friday. Will let you know how it turns out.

I received the Mini-Techlite last week. Right out of the box I thought it was great, now week later use it all the time. No shadows to put-up with and every thing is sharper. No eye strain. Have the # 2 & 3 lenses. Well worth the price.

I hope you have found the problem here. "I also notice this when i'm turning the hand wheel where it kind of feels like it sticks then jerks free again (if that makes sense) " When you feel it in the hand wheel and the needle is out of the leather, I would be looking in the top of the machine and the linkage that controls the needle bar and walking foot. Using it like it is may cause more problems. Let us know what you find on this.

The foredom will do 10 times the work of a dremel. The dremel is good for making noise and falling apart. Foredom will be less money in time, does the work faster and does not break when you need it most.

Another thing I came across is the warning not to smelt lead over concrete and wondered why this is. Ed If you spill the melted lead on concrete, it will turn the water in it to steam and blow up sending hot lead and chunks of concrete in all directions. This makes for a very bad day!!!!!!!

Polishing will help if a little to long, but not if way to long. Also if a little short. It sure stops the mashing down and not flaring.

Would book binding leather work?

Generally having a bad day, ticked off at the world as you have probably surmized by my rant. I will be better I promise! Hope many more get very ticked OFF. Any scam is now ok if you share with a politician.

The Tandy setters I have are ruff in the face where the snap post is to roll over. Take the setter and chuck in the fastest drill motor you have and polish the rings out. These rings catch the snap post and wreck it, crush or bend. Good way to sell more snaps, sell bad tools???????????
