I used something like that in my younger days, though we were riveting brake lining onto hoops for cranes. Cant help with retrofit, ours was single. Then again, we put the rivets into the lining and then riveted.

My very first leather holster
cradom replied to carguy4471's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thank you sir. Wasn't worried so much about how fast it would form as how long til the leather "set" I guess, or stayed as formed. I guess it's pretty much a "right now" kind of thing. The only forming I've done is hard forming...molding on a board with a wooden form underneath and then using heat to harden it or dry it out. -
My very first leather holster
cradom replied to carguy4471's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Quick question: Using a food saver, do you leave it in overnight, or how long? I need to make a holster for the wife's .38. -
Get a free account at one of these. Upload to them and post the link here. Photobucket http://imgur.com/

You can get a variable speed controller (AC or DC) fairly cheap. Pay attention to the amps. http://www.harborfreight.com/router-speed-control-43060.html

Grips or tape for drops? I think VeloOrange has grips you might copy and a couple other places. Tape is relatively easy. Check this guy out: http://busymanbicycles.blogspot.com.au/ for ideas.

At the moment it's down: http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/http://www.kingsmerecrafts.com/index.html Don't know for how long.

Something to consider: http://www.lekoza.com/ Saw this last week...interesting. Edit: And, I just found the thread about this down the scroll. Nevermind.

If it is I wonder why I bought it. I've never worked with copper rivets. Some of this stuff I've had since I was 20. (61 now)

I don't remember what this tool does. I think it's a rivet or snap setter? It has 1636 stamped on the side, no other markings. https://goo.gl/photos/uRv3uq6PJ7JTKLCXA

If you're talking about when you click Unread Topics, I wholeheartedly agree. The new format is confusing at best.

That's what I was looking for. Now if we could edit the list? Thanks a lot!

Is there any way to edit the filters for unread content? Under Activity, My Activity Streams? One of the Default streams has a filter I never use and cant delete it. Specifically, the default Unread Content stream, the first filter is BDSM only... which while nothing wrong with that it shouldn't be the default. When I click the Unread content link it should default to all unread content. Thanks, Craig

Welcome! Where abouts in South East Tx.? Port Arthur-Groves area here.

Well, I can tell you it's not available on Ebay, I just looked. Hopefully someone here has one.

Glad I'm not the only one. Was beginning to suspect my connection. Thanks

Twice now I haven't been able to log in in the mornings. I get an error page about a SQL database error. From the tone of the error it's like "it's not our fault, it's yours" meaning the forum's fault, not the hosts.

Excellent! I especially like the framed pelican.

Ha, evidently not I need to make another anyway. Not enough holes in this one. Maybe even stain and poly it.
-
My problem is mostly hole depth. I bought some little clamp-on-the-bit thingys...waste of money. And putting a piece of tape on the bit is a joke for me. I have a few holes that go through the wood. Thinking about getting one of those bench top presses from Harbor Freight. Could probably use it as a drum sander too.

Wasn't there a thread here about someone made a tool holder out of an old knife block? Looked pretty good too. I have some 2x6x20 I need to drill out but I need a press, doing it with a hand drill doesn't cut it (at least when I do it).

I use something like this, although a different brand: http://www.amazon.com/Donegan-OptiVisor-Headband-Magnifier-Magnification/dp/B0068OSIIS/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1455288205&sr=8-19&keywords=magnifying+glasses Using it with glasses is a little awkward but it works.

Might want to get a burnisher. Maybe something that goes in a drill or Dremel. Heck even Tandy's cheap plastic slicker works pretty well.

Had to look this one up... Why does this remind me of a tubing flaring tool? Would that work if the right size?

This link do you any good? http://www.kingsnaps.net/index_down.php?openCatIDfor3=&openCatID=4&CAhs=defuse&firestpageset=1&ISPID=667&IIBig=10&sele=shopbig_dm_right&searchname= Look for safety equipment hardware. They have all kinds of D rings and stuff.
