  2. Yeah i have had that problem with a resists before as well that annoys me but this time not using a resist I thought it might have just absorbed to much. Was hoping there might be a way to unblotch it but its not to bad only in a few small areas ohh thank you for the idea of using a damp magic eraser may just have to try that one some scrap just to see!!
  3. I do enjoy using tandys antique dye love the colours but oncd in a while the leather will absorb more of thd dye in some spots and no amount of water will remove these blotches so the question is how do i either unblotch the spots or b stop it ftom happening in the first place?
  4. Stunning and I may steal this idea lol but personally I would make two keepers as you said one brown one black for either side the keepers wont get in the way to much I do not think!
  5. Seeing how its for an older gentleman I would lean towards the snaps as with screws you do need to keep a screwdriver handy. and they are easier to lose
  6. Instead of resizing do what I do...imgur way easier no need for resizing just post the link to the photo album you upload to imgur much easier

  10. Great looking bags and thanks, I have some soft cording that I am going to try first, if that does not stop the issue of wrinkling I am going to make a leather core and see how that works out as well!
  11. I have made a few paracord whips so I am firmilar with how to make a whip core out of leather good idea on that thanks will give that a go and see how it works!
  12. Had nevee thought about using a fusible interfacing going to have to file that away for future reference

  14. I like that how is it attached to the frame?
  15. Ok so how thick should the core be of a rolled handle or is there no real "right" thickness? Right now I have a 2 inch handle that I am working on (which will drop to one inch when hand stitched together) I figured an inch to half an inch thick might be enough was just wondering. Oh using paracord guts for the core on this handle was thinking of using a leather core but wasn't sure if that would work to well.
  16. As i am on the phone this will have to do. Have sold one and actually have a custom order for another on!!

  19. 5 to 6 oz leather outer. kangaroo leather for the liner and we would prefer for it to be attached.
  20. Ok so the wife wants me to make her a box purse. This pattern is made by the both of us but will be one whole piece of leather the edges will be drawn together via a cross stick of sorts. But she wants it lined and I am not totally sure about how to go about getting it lined smoothly. Normally for a bi fold wallet I would glue one side of the lining, fold the leather where it needs too and then continue to glue it in place as bend the wallet then do the stitching. Not overly sure if that would work for this or not...pictures are of the paper pattern folded and opened
