Previous thread..mentions that model. spec on typical gc2603 https://www.sunnysewingcenter.com/index.php/en/leather-upholstery-machines/typical-gc-2603-cylinder-arm-walking-foot-sewing-machine-detail I'm thinking that it may be equivalent to the Techsew 2600 ( Or CB26 ) that Brian suggested as a machine for you a few posts back up there ?..says 138..You might be able to get away with 207 on the top..and 138 on the bottom..Could indeed be a good fit for you..Their ad ( your link to Konsew ) doesn't say if servo and speed reducer are included.. You wouldn't have to hunt for manuals..they are on the page there..the dealer is close to you too..and 12 months warranty. Edited to add..small picture at bottom right there, shows a servo motor..I can't see a speed reducer..you may not need one straight away* it depends on the servo's bottom speed ..They say you can try before you buy..so take a day out..and take some leather and thread. *you can always make one..couple of pulleys , a shaft and bearings..or buy one..or have one turned..3:1 is usual..I find 5:1 is handier..and with a 45mm or 50mm pulley on the servo.

From the photo..I think the thread is 138 ..polyester by the way it hangs.. Could be wrong..but.

Oooh there are some very nice Armagnacs that were , and are not of that repute..But I remember the horrors of which you speak Marketing person ? ..For my sins..for my sins around 10 years ( freelance ) in the ad business.."back then".. Single malts..Oh yes ..For every taste.. Enjoy Of the Taliskers..I'm also rather fond of the their Storm.
-
I'm also partial to Armagnac and Rhum Agricole, and certain Tequilas and Gins .. and we have a nice collection of wines..due to various mates who make the good stuff :) ..and then of course there is the Guinness, and some very nice Belgian beers ..and ... :)

You are certain ? :) ..OK then..make mine a Talisker

Look up "pasties" at the urban dictionary..The word has fallen out of use..as has the use of "pasties"..except in same parts of the USA. Item worn by burlesque dancers..

Ah..It's Hitex..Thanks I've never been able to get the hightex-germany.de site to switch to English..Loads of articles there in English..but no way to switch the language..despite the UK flag on the front page.. Apparently..these people Franklinco are the UK Hitex distributers. https://www.franklinco.co.uk/sewing-machines/ CB3200 ready to go inc stand / table with reducer and servo around £1,579.17 / 1,810.71 Euro inc VAT Makes that machine USD 20.00 cheaper ( inc VAT ) in the UK than in the USA.

I'm wondering if you can even get Techsew brand machines in the UK, ( where toxo is ) without shipping them in new from Ron in the USA ? Or Cowboy brand..without importing them from the USA Shipping and import duties and VAT will add a considerable amount on..Plus the prices have gone up in the USA due to "tariffs", which makes the end cost of one shipped from USA higher again. I'm pretty sure that outside of the USA, Canada and Australia those two "clone brands" are very rare and and that the Juki etc type clones are sold under other names..I see far more Adlers, Pfaffs, and Singers in Europe and the EU than any of the clone brands, be they new or used..with the exception of those I mention below..and maybe Zoje..You look at the big dealers like College Sewing..Neither Techsew nor Cowboy figure anywhere on their sites, as machines, nor spares for ... The Global brand might be an equivalent to techsew ?..Quite a few dealers of those in the UK Or Highlead .. Cowboy equivalents are available from Sieck in Germany. http://www.sieck.de/en/machines/sewing/triple-transport-machines/

Back in the early days of cyanoacrylate adhesives the ads for them usually showed them being used to glue the two ends of a cut rubber composite drive belt together, and then the belt being stressed..because that is one of the things that they work best upon. :)

Yes, you are correct Fred..I skim read it ( OP) while doing something else ( 3 other things at once actually ) and got the wrong end of the stick..mea culpa RM only allow £20.00 ?..wow..used to be higher..then it has been over 30 years since I last used them in the UK..I understand that the UK now have parcel farce ( maybe that is them RM ) and yodel and other clown car operators..Here is not much better ( and la post is abysmal..but at least one can insure for reasonable amounts ..) but some of the private operators are reasonably serious..Including DPD ( which is the business arm of la post ) although in the UK ( from what I read at el reg ) , DPD are also a shower of .....

Sounds like OZ paypal and EU paypal are two different animals.. How much are College Sewing asking nowadays for a jack 550 watt servo motor with EPN ?

Always post, or DHL, TNT etc using their insured service..Doesn't compensate for the loss of your time in making the item, but doesn't mean that it costs you money when they do lose* stuff..I always send things via insured , for at least twice the price of the item. They "lose" it, I'm not out of pocket, and the time to make another is also paid for by those who "lost" it..Here that means paying about €5.00 including the postal charges ,for around €150.00 per item insurance value..each additional "tranche" of item value, costs about another €2.00 ..so worth paying..Plus we do not charge for postage..it is included in the price of teach item, pro rata with it's value. *Lose..frequently means..stolen by the parcel service, or delivered to a bin or a porch somewhere in the same country by a "can't be bothered driver". Bummer anyway, but you'll know for next time..Personally, "if not my fault, I would not discount, nor freebie", I'd insist that the postal service covered the entire cost of making another, which is why you send everything insured..always..

I know plenty of people ( especially businesses ) who will not take paypal..including myself.. From a seller's point of view..customer pays via paypal..you send the item..customer receives it, even signs for it, then says that it never arrived, or was damaged, or was not as described..paypal blocks the sellers money..and it stays blocked..paypal always side with the buyer. paypal say that they can take back the money during 90 days..they have been known to take back the money after a year has gone by because a customer raises a dispute.. If you sell something ( lets say it might be leather hats ) and it goes successful, so you get a rush of orders, paypal can, and often do..block your money because you are making too much too fast, in their opinion..So you can be working, but not receiving any money. As a seller, I would not touch paypal with someone else's bargepole. YMMV

Try something using a bicycle brake cable setup ( that will give you the return spring effect ) and a foot pedal ( two pieces of wood which a hinge would do ) on the other end to action ( pull on ) it..When not in use you can leave it attached, just coil it up and put it next to the motor..Once you have the cable the correct length it will be so every time you put it on the floor below the table. If you need the cable to come up over the motor in order to action the lever..Copper tubing, or aluminium tubing, or even plastic tubing can make a a cable sleeve guide..easy to fix to the table drill hole matching sleeve guide external diameter..secure above and below table with hex nuts which tread onto the tube..Think about it and you'll see what I mean..I built a similar set up using scrap bicycle parts for a sewing machine ( a second 20U ) that I have in storage ( behind a load of stuff in my atelier )..works fine..allows good control ( as good as a pitman rod system ) and takes 10 seconds to coil out of the way when not in use. HTH If you use a brake lever , instead of a pedal..you can use it as a hand operated control system...or use the pedal and push against it with an arm, knee, chest or whatever.Pitman rod systems are cumbersome and take space, cable systems are flexible , and space saving.

Ha..just noticed that the "notification" that Greg had replied to the thread got caught in the screen cap I made of your text, I was making them in reverse order last pics first..an extremely important email re a meeting early tomorrow came in on another machine and I was reding it when the screen cap of the text part of your post fired..Not worth me making another screen cap and editing..don't want to "push my luck" with the server about reloading a total of 60 megs of images on a edit..Especially as your original text in your post is still up there. Ps..I hope that you don't mind that I screen capped all your images in that post to re-post..it was just that I hadn't heard back from you to my previous pm, so had no chance to broach the idea to you..Would have hated to lose the images when as they always do the links to "outside" went dead.

Constabulary..the day that postimages.org closes ( and all the free image hosters do eventually ) all the images that you linked to in your post will disappear from the post here..I had not looked at the page source code before, so did not know that was what you had had to do. So that we do not lose them..I have made screen captures at original resolution..including your text post and title..6 Screen captures were required to avoid the upload limit here..and I think that my screen capture script "tops" out at just below 60megs anyway.. I have tried to upload your total images as screen captures in 2, 3,4,5 and 6 "bites"..anything smaller than 6 "bites" and the site software throws an error..I originally only had to make 2 screen captures to get all your images, but I have been trialling and erroring for around 30 minutes for around 30 minutes now to get the site to play ball. HTH M :) images are .png..you can zoom into them to see them at full resolution..smallest is about300kb..biggest is about 15megs..others are 7 megs or 10 megs or so

Skipping stitches on 29K70 and Needles, Needles, Needles...
mikesc replied to Snakeoil's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
Another option would be to braze it and then file it down to original specs Use Nickel rod ? ..harder..resist abrasion better ..a little more of a challenge to do, but :)
