    My First Ever

I think they're both really great. My favvo being the eagle, I have this thing for preditor birds. Thanks for sharing:-)
  3. Really impressive yaklay, love your painting on this one And you're so right about the stripes...No two zebras will have the same pattern, it is like their fingerprints. The stripes actually goes all the way up in to the mane. I have painted zebra or zebra patterns for years, i love to incorporate them in my interior design, it speaks to "my wild side"

  9. Wow...*Speachless* It is like people are saying in here to newcombers, leather workers are as nice people as you ever are going meet:-)
  10. I really, really like this album Clay. What you can do to take some brightness away is rub some atiquing over all (if you dare*S*) I dont know if that will be better, just different:-) Some day I'm going to do this Zebra, just dont have the time for the moment but it came out the way I had hoped for, Awesome:-)
  11. Really nice idea Clay...As always your carving is super. So when do we see it in color?
  12. Hi, I was just doodling around with your picture and came up with a version of yours. My idea behind was to keep the figures together, like brothers should:-) Keep playing with your idea, eventually you get it to where you want it to be. Good Luck//Tina
  13. I'm one of those people that actually Love the coon, maybe cuz I didn't grow up with the small pests around? To me they look like naughty small little bandits, gorgeous, i Love your bandit Scouter:-)
  14. Mee tooooo...Don't have a name but like someone suggested, something with sand sound great:-) Really like your color combinations Roo, Super!
  15. I aspecially like the way you attached the soft leather to the carved piece. I guess it's done with a mashine? It looks really nice and finished. Also the color of the carved pice is nice, I personally like that "old, antique" finish on leather:-)
  16. Really like your dragon, extra plus for drawing right on the leather:-)
  17. Awesome carving, this is something I would like to aim towards :-)
  18. Hi everyone, It seams like some is having a size problem:-) If you're having a photo program on the computer I make a small tutorial for resizing pictures that works on most of these photo programs: 1. Open up the picture in your program. "File then open" then search for the picture you want to resize. 2. Go to "Image" then "Image size" a new window will show up. here you can usually choose between making the changes in pixels, percent, or if the option comes up with printing size...centimeters, inches, points or percent, pick one that feels OK for you. You only make a change on one of the 2, either width or hight the other one changes accordantly, then press OK...Voila! Hope this helps a wee bit
  19. Oki, here's my input in the subcejt... I cut a whole lot of curby/curley "lines". I use a scalpel and only from the backside of the leather. I start out making a very small trace in the leather (light hand here) just to get it right. The the next cut a little bit more but NOT all the way. Depending on the weight of the leather it might take 3-4 times before I cut all the way but this way, the nice front side (grain) of the leather is only cut once. The scalpel blade I'm using is number 22 for these cuts. Very clean cuts and looks great. Because you do the first cut very lightly you have "full control" process. Good luck :-)
  20. Jawn, as I use a lot of straps, my suggestion is that you buy yourself a good strap cutter (type "Jerry stripper" I think the name is, around $30...Check out Ebay) and a hide or two and make them your self...Much more cost effective. I do not know if the straps will shrink in width (might have to do with what kind of leather, thickness and so on?) but most will stretch on the lenght as you sit in the furniture, how much might have to do with the overall length on individual pieces? Hope this gives you some more ideas//Tina
  21. Looks absolutly very nice David. As the others here, I'd love to see the finished piece:-)
