  1. Let it dry and it will lighten back up.
  2. One of the lakes is pretty good yeah, the tall bridge overlooks a river that flows into the ocean I beleive, all kinds of stuff down there. The roads were full as we were headed back from a bike rally (oyster run). This is a shot of the main street there. Alot of bikes lol.
  3. Thats pretty cool. Good looking nack you got there. Hey if its what they want give it to them, much easier then arguing
  4. Well here is a couple of photos of the surrounding area. The city doesnt look as nice lol. Most of my photos are on another computer but anyways.
  5. Looks excellent, love your sheaths, for some reason I really like that square bottom with the contoured stitching.
  6. Great job, I as well really like that two tone color scheme you did. Excellent work.
  7. Heres my al stohlman, has a nice shape for finer cutting but doesnt hold a edge worth a darn. Works really good for a little bit. The rose knife I gotta finish polishing but it has a very nice edge on it. This shape blade isnt so great for tiny work but fine for everything else. Stays very sharp for a long time. The handle is just oak. I glued two pieces together and painted it with vinegaroon. The size and shape of the handle is great for me as I have large hands. Makes it really easy to handle the knife. The sheaths I made so that I could hange them as pictured. Works pretty darn good.
  8. That could be it also. Im not sure.
  9. I think it says "valley of death" but I cant be 100% sure. I looked for a while and cant seem to find any reference with pictures or direct comments. Maybe a quick call to a museum monday will answer your question.
  10. It was used back in the days of the sabers, late 1800's as a defense from having your jugalur cut open. It also from what I read made sure that marines kept there heads high (no slouching) when in ranks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leatherneck
  11. Interesting idea. Cant help ya much maybe there are some ex marines around that know a little history. That first color the last word looks like "Death" and maybe "OF DEATH" but not sure about the other side of it.
  12. Im not exactly the one to help ya but a suggestion. What type of seat are you gonna be working on? This will determine how to go about it and may let someone help a little more effectivly. There is a huge difference between doing a chopper style pan and doing a big ol cruiser style seat.
  13. I really like these guys, great work. That top red centered flower with the green leaves is really cool looking.
  14. That does look amazing. Really like both the ravens and those outstanding borders that you come up with. As far as the stitching atleast in my case I can tell when I havnt done it in a bit as I get sore right away but when Im stitching for a while it gets easier to do till I take a break again. I agree though it does take a while, I dont know how those saddle makers do it lol.
  15. I really love these two books, one simple and one with everything. http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/home/de...ature=Product_1 http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/home/de...ature=Product_5 Remember look on amazon and you may be able to find them cheap sometimes.
  16. Hey Ill get a gallery together this evening or tomorrow and post it for ya. Just the north west washington state area. Very nice if you like the outdoors but it rains most of the year up here it seems like. The summers allthough short lived are very nice.
  17. Great job man and thanks for the good tutorial.
  18. Looks really good manfro. The letters I really like also, really looking forward to the finished project once you get er done.
  19. Wow sounds like a good time to be had. Bad economy is only bad for those without money, if you have money you can make a killing. Where and when does this weaver thing go on at. I think it would be cool to try and make it to one of these events.
  20. Way cool and great idea on the scales.
  21. Very nicely done, I like that color you acheived with the chaps, how did you do that.
  22. Thats definatly kickass lookin. Whoever runs that wont have to worry about sliding off the back of lol.
  23. Im not sure about the bull hide. One thing I have noticed is the tandy oak leaf if you can pick thru it is ok leather but once you try a decent wickett and craig or herman oak or even a good import you will be very happy. You could very easily use the 7/8 or 9/10. For your projects I would go for double shoulders, culattas, or even double back which is really good for straps. Zack whites carries them. Sides are nice but thats if you do alot of different stuff then you can use the bellie portions, if all your doing is belts and such the bellies are a waste really. Kevin hpkins has a really good deal on herman oak right now.
  24. Great looking setup. Much better then my apartment kitchen. The only thing that I would recommend is one or two adjustable height bar stools (Just IMHO). Nice setup with the tools, I like.
