  1. Sorry I cant add any advice as I havnt done that style of leather work before so just wanna say it looks really good so far. You allready got the advice I would give ya which is check out Rob Bar's stuff and take a look at some of Clays work from here on the forums. Make sure you post the finished product.
  2. Guess I didnt leave a comment, I checked it out but dont allways leave comments or sometimes think I did and dont go back to check. Ahh well. I like your style of sheaths. Very nice and as I have said before I like the square bottom with the stitching lines. I also like the natural look on this one as well. Only thing I noticed is that some of the stitching looks like ya grooved a little to deeply or pulled to tight, the stitching looks really sunken in. This is just IMHO. Maybe a area for ya to play with a bit.
  3. Wait till you get more aged with more metal in it it will turn black.
  4. Get some rubber gloves, I use rubber gloves just to prevent the smell that will get on your fingers. Once the object is dry you dont have to worry about it no more which is nice as compared to dyed objects.
  5. looks kickass dude. Great work.
  6. That is some good looking stuff. That stamping is outstanding and the inlay with the spots is really cool looking.
  7. Just a thought but if you could incorporate rivets into the design you could rivet some of the edges to help hold them on. Still glue it though. Ontop of the glueing if you wanted to stitch you could but would have to drill the holes.
  8. Great looking planner you got. That skull looks excellent. Did you seal it with anythning? Thats a nice natural color you acheived.
  9. That is a really nice job. I would have never thought of using turqiose but it looks good. I gotta make myself one of these guys.
  10. Depends on what type of bracket and windsheild ya have. The one I made we cut a 1"wide piece of aluminum to the proper length and then drilled three holes in it. Flexed it to the shape of the windsheild. I then covered it with leather and walla. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17053 Another Mcjeep did this idea http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=16453 Or you can get the ones from like JP cycle I think it is. http://www.jpcycles.com/Search/Search?N=0&...heild+bag+mount
  11. Very cool, looks like ya never stopped. That double layer temple part looks like that was interesting to accomplish.
  12. Very cool all of it. Great use of the rattlesnake skin. One question, is the skulls stitched to the front or are they glued, just wondering.
  13. Looks great Tim, that filigry is really cool.
  14. Very cool, I was just thinking last night that I hadnt scene any archery stuff posted in a long time. Nice looking setup, good colors I think. Show us moar
  15. Thats Hog's seat not mine, I havnt gotten around to getting one done yet. I do agree somewhat, a iron ass helps alot lol.
  16. Looks great David, nice idea of the suede inlay.
  17. Looks great man, the dragon really stands out and definatly goes with the bike. Agree the flap could be a little longer but oh well, still a great job.
  18. Yes please do, I havnt scene one of your cool masks in a long time. Its allways interesting to see what you come up with.
  19. Just like to add the tandy 4-1 works for me for a lacing awl. I took the lacing awl blade that comes with it and put a high shine on that guy, darn thing glides thru leather and finger, then took some plyers and torqued down on the retainer. Its not gonna be very good for quick change outs but works great for lacing when I dont punch the lace holes.
  20. Springfeild leather Weaver Zacks Atleast Im pretty sure. I got mine from springfeild so I know for sure they carry it. I just started playing with it and it seems really nice so far. It doesnt have a strong smell of anykind and is absorbed quickly with the leather Im using it on and doesnt leave any funny residue or greasy feeling or anything. Seems good so far.
  21. THat looks outstanding, love the skrullwork lol. Glad your staying busy, it would be a bad sign if your shop wasnt keeping you on your toes.
  22. Great looking shop, cant wait till I can get one someday. Thats a neat ol tractor/retrofitted lawn mower thing also. Not sure what it is but looks like it does its job well.
  23. Great looking purse Tina. Everytime I see your stuff makes me wanna play with the acrylics that I have sitting on the shelf.
  24. WOW that is really really nice, I like it alot. Great job on that. I think you should start a new thread with your work as you finish. That way more people will realize your showing more work.
