  1. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully youll pick up alot of information from everyone here. Just remember we are all photo junkies and love seeing new and different projects.
  2. Nicely done, I havent heard of these since I was in school. That is a very elegent looking case. Just out of curiosity did you have a picture of the back of it by chance.
  3. That is basically what your looking for but for some reason I would not put my camera on a tripod that came with a kit for $30. The idea is sound though. Im not sure what wattage those lamps are but generally you want a decent high wattage light. Your gonna be filtering it and you still need enough to go thru. Heres a huge thread on building your own light box and setup and all that. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=281524 I made mine at of pvc wrapped in white fabric and am using two of those 500w lights from lowes. THe orange ones that go for about $12 a pop.
  4. Looks great, Did you play with the vinegaroon with and without the bark mixture to see what your results would be? Just wondering.
  5. Great projects, very nicely done. I like the beer cuzy, gotta make me one or two of those.
  6. Looks great, by the way how comfy are these guys?
  7. Very well done, that turned out awesome.
  8. That is outstanding, I think its even better then the last one he did.
  9. Thanks Tina, am getting ready to do a couple and this pattern will come in handy.
  10. Sorry I cant add any advice as I havnt done that style of leather work before so just wanna say it looks really good so far. You allready got the advice I would give ya which is check out Rob Bar's stuff and take a look at some of Clays work from here on the forums. Make sure you post the finished product.
  11. Guess I didnt leave a comment, I checked it out but dont allways leave comments or sometimes think I did and dont go back to check. Ahh well. I like your style of sheaths. Very nice and as I have said before I like the square bottom with the stitching lines. I also like the natural look on this one as well. Only thing I noticed is that some of the stitching looks like ya grooved a little to deeply or pulled to tight, the stitching looks really sunken in. This is just IMHO. Maybe a area for ya to play with a bit.
  12. Wait till you get more aged with more metal in it it will turn black.
  13. Get some rubber gloves, I use rubber gloves just to prevent the smell that will get on your fingers. Once the object is dry you dont have to worry about it no more which is nice as compared to dyed objects.
  14. looks kickass dude. Great work.
  15. That is some good looking stuff. That stamping is outstanding and the inlay with the spots is really cool looking.
  16. Just a thought but if you could incorporate rivets into the design you could rivet some of the edges to help hold them on. Still glue it though. Ontop of the glueing if you wanted to stitch you could but would have to drill the holes.
  17. Great looking planner you got. That skull looks excellent. Did you seal it with anythning? Thats a nice natural color you acheived.
  18. That is a really nice job. I would have never thought of using turqiose but it looks good. I gotta make myself one of these guys.
  19. Depends on what type of bracket and windsheild ya have. The one I made we cut a 1"wide piece of aluminum to the proper length and then drilled three holes in it. Flexed it to the shape of the windsheild. I then covered it with leather and walla. http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=17053 Another Mcjeep did this idea http://leatherworker.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=16453 Or you can get the ones from like JP cycle I think it is. http://www.jpcycles.com/Search/Search?N=0&...heild+bag+mount
  20. Very cool, looks like ya never stopped. That double layer temple part looks like that was interesting to accomplish.
  21. Very cool all of it. Great use of the rattlesnake skin. One question, is the skulls stitched to the front or are they glued, just wondering.
  22. Very cool, I was just thinking last night that I hadnt scene any archery stuff posted in a long time. Nice looking setup, good colors I think. Show us moar
