  1. I neglected to post a picture of the finished clock. Thanks again for all the suggestions, folks! Crystal
  2. I do the same order as Tina. Dye outside first then do your painting. I think you have better luck covering a dye "boo-boo" with paint than trying to cover a paint "boo-boo" with dye. Crystal
  3. I just attended a local Sports Show. I know it wasn't the same as a gun show. ( I see that Mid Atlantic Arms Collectors is going to have a show semi-local to me and after reading the good advice here, I think I will pass on attending that show.) The Sports Show was a fun experience, got to meet a bunch of nice folks and found it was interesting that there are people out there looking for leatther workers. There were inquiries for shoulder holsters. A few others looking for custom holsters for odd guns (ok- odd to me) that can't be found online or in most stores. The most requested items (of which I didn't make to take) wallets and money clips. Go figure. Crystal
  4. Beautiful lacing on those! Nicely done! Crystal
  5. I think you captured that picture very well. I am glad your dad survived- that thing looks like a sausage grinder! Crystal
  6. Survived my first trade show! Sold a few things, got a few orders, and had agood time!

  7. I've seen on tv some resturaunts aging their meat. Can't remember how long exactly, but a quick internet search said 20 -30 days. http://bbq.about.com...a/aa030301a.htm On a side note- I've been trying to come up with a tag line for my website. I think this post gives my idea some merrit. " Leather- It's what was for dinner" ...... I just need to see if Sam Elliott is available for a voice over. Crystal
  8. Love the cartridge belt! Cool! Crystal
  9. Another goregeous bag! And I believe I see the buckle holes on the "spot". Oh, I dream of doing work this nice. Crystal
  10. Happy Birthday, Kate!

  11. I think this is a must first project for anyone with a head knife! Just a suggestion- I can still see some of the knife when you have it in the sheath. Might want to make another and seat the blade a little deeper. Adding a strap to it would be good, also. Keep up the good work! Crystal
  12. Nice job. I have to agree wth all the nice lacing comments! BTW- good looking pups in the background! Crystal

Nicely done! Very pretty lacing job on that!
  14. Nice looking collection of work on your site. Here's an easier link: http://www.lillydinardosleather.com/products.html Thanks for posting! Crystal
  15. After the visitors (semi-residents) of the chat room started noticing rings on Johanna's table , they decided that coasters were needed for the coffee cups and other beverage containers. So- come one, come all and take the challenge! Make up a coaster! No rules... ok... ONE RULE: It has to be no larger than 4". Make it round, square or anything in between. Carved, stamped or whatever else is fun. We'd like to see what you come up with by January 31, 2011. This is just the project to stave off the after holiday blues and the soon to set in cabin fever. Everyone is welcome. New to leatherwork? Perfect way to get your feet wet. Old seasoned-pro? Try something completely different! And just a reminder - the chat room is always open and the semi-residents don't bite. (Well- not often and they have their shots.) Come on in, get some coffee, shoot the breeze, ask questions or just sip some coffee and watch the antics! Post your creations anytime! Can't wait to see what comes out of all these creative minds here! Crystal (No, I can't take credit for this idea. Thank MarkB and Superchute when you see them.)
