  1. Very nice...thanks for sharing!
  2. I have no idea. I cannot remember, but I can dig it out of the closet and take a look.
  3. I know someone that might have one made by Mida Tools (Discontinued & defunct now)? Let me ask if they are willing to let it go for and maybe I can put you two together to work it out. Good luck
  4. I have a portable walking foot machine that I bought earlier this year from a person who made some items for a movie. It was used for this one movie and used on site for repair and partial reconstruction or changes and has been stored. It comes fully contained in a traveling locking case and worked from the moment I saw, and brought it home. I also had a technician inspect it and service it. It was given the okay and tuned up. The technician spoke very well of this machine except for one thing! It would not do what I needed it to sew, belts cases and medium thickness leathers! oh well! I would be willing to work with anyone willing to take it off my hands for what I have in it plus shipping to you! I have and would send the service reciept along with the machine to the new owner. Good luck
  5. Very nice work....hopefully...you gave the ribbons to your mentor as a peace offering. I really like the fireworks interior.......painted or material?
  6. negative Ghostrider....the pattern is full!

  7. Hopefully, you took it out of the package and spent about 30 mins to 1 hour sharpening that groove tip up because it is worthless right out of the package in my opinion! I would suggest that you take out a piece of scrap leather about the size of a pocket comb (remember those). Make some grooves; make one with one pass, two passes and three passes. Stick up a few lines and inspect it! Remember, every tool requires practice. Keep the piece for reference until you get some groove and stitches under your belt. I make one or two passes depending on my thread What do you have to loose?
  8. International relations!

  9. Nice work for a 'plain' one as you said. Consider on the your next one to place your logo stamp on the out side panel to show which size would be 'up.' Just a thought. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Contact W/C at Standing Bear in California. He has flown and gave me some tips during my summer trip there. Remember, you have a stamping stick, not a maul, mallet or hammer! I purchased some tools while at Standing Bear's shop and carried them on. They did set the alarm off, but after a separate check through the bomb machine....I was allowed to pass. I also showed them a business card and I do not know if this worked or not? If all fails, ship it to the store via one of the carries......Priority Flat Rate box with insurance sounds pretty good with tracking, of course! If all fails and they never get there.....well make yourself another set Mr. Tool Maker! Good luck and enjoy!
  11. Wow! I took a liking to his facebook site.....beautiful wood work. Be proud!
  12. I am sure the new 2011 craftaids are not in that BOGO deal. thanks for checking in and letting us know.
  13. Welcome to the forum and greetings from Central Texas!
  14. Take a gander at the Leather Crafters & Saddlers Journal magazine. There was an article a while back about suspenders and pattern, I believe. Very nice scroll pattern. Good luck
  15. i was always told that you had to buy one tool or craftaid to get one free.
  16. Nice floral design....fits well and reminds me of Al Stohlman design work. Thanks.
  17. Awesome!
  18. Be careful, the locking mechanism tends to release if you press down too hard as you cut. Scares you the first time, but you will get either use to it or annoyed by it. I went ahead and purchased a set of OLFA brand rotary knifes. Available at JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby or Walmart for just under double the cost of these. The locking mechanism is more reliable and the blades are made in Japan and sharp! BTW, OLFA makes skiving knife with the ability to change blades. I do not know if they are available here, but I know of one website to get them. I haven't personally tried it, but OLFA is a good brand and has worked out well for me. Good luck
  19. We also have a member on here that occasionally stocks them for sale. I hope they chime in for what sounds like a quick sale! Good luck

Very nice design. I like the rope around the pix placement. Did you ever consider embossing the scene below the picture placement? Just an idea for next time to consider. Thanks for sharing!
  21. Very nice work! I was looking at your gallery pixs. you've got something going there. Good luck
  22. We will be holding our regular (informal) meeting followed by LW's own Master of Disaster Mr. Clay (all the way) Miller doing a short tutorial on the process for finishing a Sheridan project using varies techniques such as Neat-Lac, etc. Clay is actually saving my butt and making me look good as Prez....thanks Clay! I love you man!! Plus, we have many gifts to raffle off to include something from The 'Spinner' man......his ORIGINAL design.....thanks brother! For those of you that have considered joining....come by and become a member for free for the rest of 2010. Yes, you heard right! It has been a tradition of our guild to allow folks to join us for free starting in September of every year instead of doing pro-rated dues. So come down and have a looksie! What do you have to loose? Hope to see as many of you from the area
  23. I found a pair of chairs for you locally.....if interested, send me a PM with a # to give you contact info. I am willing to pick them up for you and maybe deliver them when I get out your way! I do occasionally get out to C/S. Good luck!
  24. You can do both, as well as, how you are doing it. Just depends where you want your antique paste to concentrate on. I use a cheap toothbrush to get my paste where I want it to concentrate. i used to rub the paste all over, but I found if you have a scratch on the non-tooled leather, your paste will find it even with neat lac covering it. good question!
  25. Man, I really like your designs. Very nice cover to respect your koran.
