  2. Yep, Ive used a speed stitcher. Works fine for some instances but for the work shown my money is on Tinker. rick
  3. I really like the basket weave model. Tooling the interior of the flap was a great idea. I think that you are ready for the big time. rick
  4. I believe that i have the same blanchard pricking wheel fanninator and i thought that the markings on the wheels were tpi instead of spi. I got mine out and ran all four of the wheels and measured them and it sure looks like tpi to me. If it matters the wheels with mine are marked 7, 8, 10 & 12. Either way 11 or 12 its still very fine stitching rick
  5. Dye wont take on waxed thread. You can buy smaller amounts in various colors from http://www.rmleathersupply.com/collections/all The only spool of tiger that comes in 1000 meter spool is the 0.6mm. Are you sure that is the size that you want? The heavier sizes come in 500 meter spools. If you are unfamiliar with the different diameter thread perhaps order a small amount of a few different sizes. It can be confusing when first starting out figuring which size you need. rick
  6. A really classy seat on a classic bike. Really nice work. rick

  10. Well if that is your first holster I think i am going to sell all my tools for a dollar and take up drinking for a new hobby. My first attempt at a holster was not anywhere the quality of yours. That is really nice work. rick
  11. Not sure how much this might help but, for straight 45 degree cuts I use a piece of 1x2 inch maple with a 45 degree bevel. If you are doing the same size repeatedly perhaps you could have a circular beveled template made from some 1 inch stock. rick
  12. Both items are really nice. I especially like the red and black combo. rick
  13. What kind of stiffener panels are you using? rick
  14. That is really sharp, very cool design. If you dont mind, what leather did you use and how much did it take? rick
  15. I like that design, pretty neat. Nice looking wallet also. rick
  16. Now I wish I hadn't sold my Harley! Really nice, that is going to get lots of attention. rick
  17. I order tiger thread and an occasional tool from Andriy at https://www.etsy.com/shop/CraftnTools Shipping on my last order was $19.00 from the Ukraine. Takes about a week. No hassle using my credit card. rick
  18. what awl (size/brand/model#) did you use? I want to try something as small and delicate as your watchband but I don't have an awl small enough to do the work. I have tried to reduce one down with a sharpening stone but haven't gotten what i need so far. Thanks rick
  19. JLSleather wrote As I sometimes say, IF you can't TELL the difference, then why PAY the difference? I'm stealing that little bit of gold for my own use -- with your permission of course. rick
  20. The local "Ace Hardware" carries some that I believe matches the ones shown. Not sure if they are in your area, if not try Home Depot or Lowes Hardware. rick
