  1. Did you grind the bottom 2 teeth off to make it adjustable? We did and love the fact you can reposition the handle to something comfortable.
  2. I'm not sure about the heating element, but we're extremely happy with Nick from Artisans brass stamp he made for us. http://www.artisans.co.uk/ Top notch craftsmanship and recommended to us from Nigel (Dangerous Beans).
  3. Whats "glue water"? Is there a recipe for it? New to the craft and want to learn. :D
  4. Does she give lessons? I swear she does better work than I do after a year of playing around as a newbie myself. Well done, I'm sure you're proud of her. Now "your" hobby has just doubled in cost, lol. But worth every penny when it comes to the priceless time you get to spend with family. :D
  5. Is it flat braid? Please post a link, it does look interesting.
  6. @thunter9 you have set me on the right track, at least I know what their called. Greatly appreciated. :D
  7. Not sure exactly what this 1/2" piece of hardware is called. It is for a belt that the Mrs wants more of and can't remember the name of the manufacturer or hand made- purchased over 20 years ago and out of province- she thinks lol. There is only one on the belt as the belt passes through the metal loop and folds back onto itself, securing onto a button stud. I have 6 of these made- just need to find the metal loop part and I can finish off her to do list- this weekends one at least. When seated for use in the strap The round bar that crosses through the belt. If anyone knows of where I can find these- in 1/2" it would be greatly appreciated. I do know that the local Tandy doesn't have them. Any online links would be happily followed to hopefully purchase them.
  8. Big fan of both you and Joe! Keep up the fantastic work.
  9. Damn, too bad it's for the US only.
  10. Carnauba cream isn't really a top coat in my opinion. The leathersheen is what I would use first, Resolene- if you can stand the smell lol, is also a good top coat. I have seen some great waxing on leather that works extremely well. Since you will be tooling, I will leave out the suggestion of using Bridle, Harness or Latigo. What about saddle skirting instead? It is good and stiff as you have mentioned that you want as a feature. The stiffener could also be another layer of leather that you have laying around. Just a few ideas for you to toss around Spaceblues
  11. The item you may possibly be looking for is a craftaid # 2710
  12. Luke, I have found this video extremely valuable: Nigel is a member here as well and chimes in from time to time, a great guy. Dangerous Beans I believe is his name. Sean.
  13. Not sure if this would help. 2607-04 GHS-EN_MSDS.pdf 2607-04 GHS-EN_MSDS.pdf
  14. Just becareful of the sizes you want to print Isn't large enough for what you are wanting in my opinion.
  15. Watch which medium you use, the PLA is water soluble making wet forming a bit difficult. Also, the print out may be brittle, not as strong as an epoxy. If you where to print one out and use a rubber mould and then reverse cast an epoxy one, you would be fine, in my opinion.
  16. Save some money and check THESE or even THESE out depending on the printer type you have.
