  3. I have a Seiko to Consew machine conversion chart & it says the Seiko LDC-8BV-1 is the same as the Consew 277RFS The largest thread they can use is a #92 & sew alittle over 1/4" of leather,they are made for binding & sewing thinner material. Bob
  4. Don't forget to make sure the thread is wrapped aound the 2nd tension 11/2x Bob
  5. It's a needlefeed walking foot with no feed dog,real similar to a 31-15 only better feeding.most parts are still available.

I don't know of any we have sold the Alpha-Sew & alot of inmates like them & use them alot & they don't seem to have alot of problems.We also have found a way to prevent the topshaft from getting bent in shipment.It probably takes us a good hour or more to go through one & get it ready,there's alot of little things that need to be done & if you get a machine from ebay that hasn't been gone over I'm sure you'd have some issues with it.   7. Wiz, The Sailrite is just an Alpha-Sew w/a large wheel & different color paint.And they also give you a big sales pitch about it. Bob
  8. Marty, Here's a pic of our stand @ almost the highest the table top measures 44" & will go down a good 10".You would have to remove the bolts on the column & move them to different holes to go from sit to stand & adjust the chain for both the motor & foot lifter also. Bob
  9. I've been in the sewing machine biz 31yrs & haven't seen one of these yet,Does anyone have a pic they can post.Of course this machine was made in UK so maybe they never imported many. Bob
  10. The feet that mount the other way are for 111w style of machines that have the 2-pc walking feet here's a listing of the feet we have for your machine which is called a needle feed. The file is too big to put here if you want to send me a pm w/your email address I'll send it. Thanks, Bob
  11. Yes,they are great machines & for a better looking stitch you can use a #20 when sewing w/#92 thd. I have some customers are even using#138. What's nice about the 31-15 is that parts are still available & all kinds of different feet too. Bob

Chris, You mentioned about the lift pumps that's problem is on the 98.5 & up to I think maybe 04 & that's on the 24 valve when they go out the usually take the injection pump with it.The older 12valves are really bullet proof.I have 2 of them & get 22 empty & around 12-13mpg w/a total weight of 17K towing.
