  1. 50/50 and wipe or airbrush on. Idk about saddle soap after I haven't seen that yet. It basically gets used just like Resoline.
  2. You are right its from Etsy. I cropped the pic to take any names out of it.
  3. I think the set up is basically stick the gun any which way you want.lol
  4. Let's not get onto this argument guys. I am talking about this specific belt/carry system. Being little to no retention or ability to get a good grip as it's so far into the "holster". Also it looks like it's held together with rapid rivets. I carry Glocks so no safety my wife insists on a safety on her carry weapon. We are never all gonna agree on the one and only carry weapon, position, or caliber. Or even color.lol Saftey no safety loaded chamber empty chamber. This system seems TO ME to have not even the minimums a carry "system" should have.
  5. Retention don't seem great to me for one thing. And I think it would be pretty accessible to someone behind you. And it's marketed as open carry. Like most things these are my opinion. Each his own I guess. The quality Yauqui slides I have seen have a retention screw on them also. "Shrug" I won't be using one of these is all I know.
  6. I think I might have possibly found the most unsafe, dangerous and negligent way to carry a gun. Even just stuffing it in your pants would probably be better!
  7. He was looking for it a couple comments up I told him where to look.
  8. Lacquer thinner will soften it. BUT it won't make it usable again. If want to just get it out and throw away it would probably work. IMHO
  9. You can get it at Springfield or Weaver leather. And on Amazon.
  10. I have used Caiman lined with cow and was able to burnish it. Check out the exotics section would be my advice. And experiment on a small piece from the edge of your croc. There are quite a few Aussies On here that can give you better advice than me.
  11. The top is just glued on. They come off pretty easy as they are not glued well. I think that's where a lot of air gets in and dries them out. I got mine out and scraped out the glue. Haven't gotten around to putting back together as I don't have another brush head. Figuring on using silicon to glue it back on when I do.
  12. Sounds like everything a minimalist wallet should be. Good work.
  13. Only way to reduce the wrinkling at a bend I've found is VERY thin leather and just a smidge shorter than the outside piece. Cloth also works nice for a liner and you can add a pop of color.
  14. Nice simple and clean. I am apparently the King of pocket protectors on Etsy. Have sold about 30 of them. 3/4 are custom order.lol
  15. Chrome tanned leather is pretty near impossible to refinish from all I've read and heard. Look luck!
  16. You don't need rawhide for rigitidy. Using 2 layers of 5oz will be nice and stiff. Look in the holster section for some advice there are a lot of guys who do cowboy action holster and probby get some advice there. I wet form my holsters and they are stiff but designed for retention not fast draw.
  17. Ya that wallet does look pretty cool. I saw some at Tandy but it's really dull looking. And prob not very good quality.lol
  18. Looks good as always. Where did you get the leather?
  19. Probably these were just some pieces I had that were buckle size. Wanna so an inlay holster with the plates part too.
  20. Just messing around this weekend. Couple of ostrich leg buckles made with some scrap.
  21. If go with Barge Cement.
  22. This helped me. The pic is odd the post is for dress belts.
  23. I do a 50/50 mix off beeswax and parifin wax. Some also add neetsfoot oil. I don't want mine that soft. Just melt the waxes together and pour in a muffin papers and make yourself little pods. Ta. Matt.
  24. Beeswax burnished on the edge will help.
