  1. I'm subscribed to your YouTube.
  2. My brother asked me to make a bag for his wife for when there out riding the bike. It's 3oz Fiebings black with red Tiger .8 at about 8sp. I hate gussets cuz getting the length right still an issue for me. So I make long then trim. So sewing the handle on was the last step. Not very easy to access that way. Had to have the wife hold the bag along with the stitching pony.lol
  3. I second this. Jeff also is good at advise and answers to questions. He is direct and to the point so don't take offence.lol
  4. Found this at a "antique" market here in the Springs. It was labeled as a "vintage scraper/chopper" "Very sharp!". Since it was only $22 i got it. Its unmarked and not sharp.lol Slight crack in the handle but it's tight. Guess I will have to learn how to sharpen it and use one now.
  5. I like that black and red. Did a front pocket wallet for my brother in it. Also his G43 pattern works good for a starting point for a LC9!
  6. There is a a comment in your patterns section post of a guy willing to scan and email you a pattern. Might wanna check your notification settings. Ta. Matt.
  7. Used a JLS G19 pattern as a base and upsized it. Hermann Oak 7/8 Fiebings black with 1mm White Tiger. Showed a pic to a guy at work with a G21 and he bought it.
  8. What's it look like brown side out. I'm not grasping how it's gonna look that way. With the buckle flipped.
  9. It's a good cleaner. I use Aussie, carnuba cream or leather balm with atom wax. Or a combination of more than one. Depending on what I'm looking to achieve. Many on this site make their own and there are many recipes also. Time for experimenting! Get your undyed and dyed scraps out and see what works for you. https://youtu.be/zyTg_hfpNUM This video also might help.
  10. I got some Line 24 with the hand setter at Michaels cuz Tandy was closed and needed snaps nut not a setter. BUT they seem to be better than Tandy. YMMV. Ta. Matt.
  11. Likeing it. Paint, stain, antique and finishing are all a art form in itself. The coaster from tandy are a cheap way to practice tooling stamping and finishes. And if they turn out ya got gifts for people.lol
  12. Looking good. Al Stohlman book "How to make holsters" is a good resource. It has directions and patterns for shoulder holsters and many others. $12 well spent if you ask me. Did you wet form the holster at all? Cant tell if there is a retention strap.
  13. Back in WI i used to listen to a PBS radio show on sunday mornings. It was about just this. People would call in and the would break down the origin and meanings of words. Cant remember the name of the show now.
  14. Tandy has a mini saddle kit. It might work for some of your needs. Ta. Matt.
  15. Do a search on this site. Ik I have seen a few knife rolls and tool rolls on here. You can find a lot of answers just by searching here. Good luck. Just a quick search I've found them using Latigo, and up to 12oz with a canvas lining. Stay away from chrome tanned as it will damage the steel in the knives.
  16. Also an app called Layout is nice.
  17. If you text the pics from phone to say FB messenger and save the photo again it resizes them. Its a quick down and dirty way. Ta. Matt.
  18. Looks like a copper rivet domed over without the burr on it. Just a guess.
  19. Thanks. Talked to Bob Parks and got some of his edge burnishing stuff last weekend at Sheridan. It works pretty good.
  20. Check out the patterns section and the live action role play section I think it's called. There are probably a few patterns and/or guys who could point you in the right direction.
  21. Glock 43 Pancake style. Nothing fancy or new here. Hermann Oak with Fiebings medium brown dye and medium brown Tiger thread at about 6spi. I dyed the inside where it is not sewn together so it's slightly darker than on the wings. Live and learn.lol
  22. Might want to check into one of the custom stamp makers here on the site. They are reasonably priced.
  23. Any smooth thing that will fit in it. I use a pen I took apart to burnish small slots. Do a search on this site. There was a post where a guy showed a soldering iron set up to do belt holes. One of the Aussies if I remember correctly.
