    The stuff people keep in there pockets sand purses are a good start. Talk to your friends and families and see what interests them. Start with small stuff to hone skills.

    I think the tubular rivets are stronger but the double caps much more attractive. And many options for a look. The hammered antique nickle are really nice looking. Also they have the benefit of all having the same post diameter so you can use the small rivet with the large cap. And vice versa If you need them short or long.

    Rapid and double caps are the same. They set easy are not the strongest. I never used tubular rivets. Personally I prefer copper burr rivets. I have seen some use a small washer on the tubular rivets. Looks goes to double caps IF strength not an issue. And they are just for show/accent. But if I can use a copper burr rivet I will. Don't know if my rambling babbling helps at all.lol

    Just call Kylie. W/C is old school. Talk to her she will steer you in the right direction. It is amazing leather to work with and in the end you are only spending $20/$30 over Tandy. And the results you get are so much better.

    You could order a bend from w/c 7/8 oz. Then it would be great for belts. Line with a 3oz from Tandy. Heavy enough for belts, sheaths, holsters. You could then dye any color you want and seal it. If you don't go the Latigo route. Just thinking out loud here.

    Laminate with 2 leathers with padding on the inside would be my suggestion. Albeit though I've never made a dog collar. So you can take it for what it's worth.lol As to ordering leather you can only charge for the leather used plus some wastage. It's a good way to build a stock of leather up. Also just my opinion.

    Those are called plates. I've never made anything the bends with them. Bit they do make nice inlay or accent panels. Try the exotic section might find some info there. I know a lot of people make wallet backs with Ostrich leg.

    an hour glass shaped stamp, can,t remember the name. it's called a meander I do believe.

    I saw Chuck make that. On a side note he seems to be the same nice generous person he is the videos as in person. Back to the bracelet now. I was worried about no stitching. Contact cement is very strong but I like the added security of stitching. Red stitching would really pop on it. Looking good. The cut out look clean straight and professional.

    Dyeing is a relatively quick process. You just have to figure out what color and dye you want to use. Check out the dyeing sub forum and you can get most of your questions answered there.

    Put some neetsfoot oil on the lighter piece and put it in the sun. It will tan just like you would.lol

    You might be right. I've never made a saddle but it might be for nails up under the cantle. I watched a video by Don Gonzales on hammers and he did have a very small hammer. "Shrug"

    Where my fingers are pointing are where you would lace or use Chicago screws to put it together.

    I have that pattern pack and if i remeber correctly it just uses lether thongs to put it together. Allowing for adjustment. If i can work up the energy i will walk up to the shop and take a look at it.lol
