  1. What I am seeing is that you drink Makers Mark from a tin can and you put the lid on to keep the critters from lapping up some. But then again I see things most don't see. I am kicking around ideas for Mrs. Skinhackers next bag and I like your style
  2. Have him join the group.
  3. Thank you all for the replies. I had already completed the sewing on the two belts and each one took a full day. i just can't picture it being done in 2 hours.
  4. This apples to hand sewing. How long does it take to do a stitched belt. It takes me over five hours to do a 40 inch belt. Do you use one thread per side?
  5. Just north of Fort Myers here
  6. Was he involved? Great chance to teach basic skills
  7. Love the decorative stitch. The others pointed out the big thing, don't cover the mag release. That serves two purposes. One less chance of accidental mag release and it allows for more grip purchase on the draw. Now get to work on a good sturdy gun belt for him
  8. I love the slope on the strap. How hard was that to get squared up?
  9. I have been thinking of doing a stingray holster inlay. I may rethink that
  10. Thanks I will give it a try
  11. nice. I too would like to know if you got feedback
  12. what kind of cases. Shotshell?
  13. Do you know what makes it even better, it is not for a Glock.
  14. I have sold things my whole life and have studied selling theory. Your mistake was hoping he would bring it to the other guys. He needed to wait for when he was with the other guys and present it to him and fawn about his great work. Then he will sell you to the other guys. We humans are fickle. Nice belt
  15. I am a real estate guy at my day job. When you mentioned he was an architect I just suddenly envisioned walletswith center hall colonials carved on the front. LOL
  16. Just joined as I have more time on my hands and will be taking on a few more projects. Started leatherwork in 1972 as a child. Friends dad was pretty slick at making purses and belts and this was a high time for native American and western stuff. Well after a few years all my stuff was packed in a box I had made for my 8th grade woodshop class and girls and cars then career took over. well about 5 years ago I wanted to show my son a few things and spend some time teaching him what I knew (which is crude crafting of utility items). Hope to share and learn as we all stand on those who came before us.
