I have to agree i wouldn't chance it. I had a cousin dropped his 22 pistol once, shot himself in the guts. Only takes one accident with a pistol to die and there is no use creating a possible problem when there is no need to! Do yourself a favor sew it on and take the extra few seconds to unbuckle your belt and put it on. It will look exactly the same but it will be safe AND it looks really good !

But not so good of an ending Modern corrections dont allow for much of that anymore, including hobbies, it is to bad really. These people get out and some become your neighbors. Now they get out no better than when they went in. Keeps corrections in business. Back in the day we had a complete auto shop ,welding ,machinery, electronics shops, carpentry, upholstery all state certified educational courses and shops for inmates. We also had a license plate facility textiles facility laundry ,facility maintenance, kitchen and bakery for work type jobs. it all went away one day when three tried to escape and killed an officer. Every inmate was locked down, the "Department of corrections" was created a big stir was raised and we built a new prison about a quarter mile away and moved. And most all that equipment is still sitting there in an abandoned building. Sorry for the deviation from topic all.

I'll tell you another little story about competition. Back in the day here in Wyoming prison inmates could do hobbies. Our prison had an inmate that ran a leather shop, he had about 6 other inmates employed for him and together they sold thousands of dollars worth of leather goods. Yes if you bought leather in Jackson Hole Wyoming back in the 80s and 90s it was inmate made. I've personally seen those store owners fill up their cars with leather and other products at the pen. That guy made over 60 grand a year and sent it all home to his family. Even before that leather goods were sold at the prison, that is gone now in Wyoming but other prisons still allow hobby work and they sell it.

with almost 8 billion people on earth there is enough market to go around. They wont starve so you can flourish just that simple IMO. and why they call it competition.

Good luck with that thought, the crux of your problem, with fewer skills they simply cant produce the same assumed quality its not all about speed is it. They know that, the consumer knows that, the consumer wont pay for theirs the same amount. You need a smoker friend that really drives the neighbors crazy. lol. homemade bacon is the bomb i make it from the butt roast. I also make all our sausages and such, smoked fish, corned elk. smoked cheeses. But i can cook most anything, mom taught me mostly, was a cook for a short bit too mainly learned because i just like good tasting grub!

so someone with less skillset than you for example should price their goods at the same price as what you sell? So that you don't have competition? Why would they? Here's the way i see it there is about 7 or 8 billion people in the world. if you cant sell and make a living that's not someone elses fault. if your a pro then your name will sell over the cheaper stuff. That's just business.

all it is as a big box that holds hot air, make sure the temp gauge is correct and there are no drafts or holes in the thing. this concept dates back to wood burning stoves they used to make these small tin ovens that would set on top pretty much just like this.

Nope I don't have that piece of crap but I cook pizza in our regular charcoal grill. it comes out nice and smoky flavored awesomness. I have a decent one that has a coal shelf that can lower the charcoal down about 14 " below the grill surface making it an oven more or less. I then just use a cookie sheet to hold the pizza. I have also baked breads on a wood stove. you take about four beer cans and cut the bottoms off about an inch, use these discs to set your bread pan on so the bottom doesn't touch and burn then turn a large pan,, we use a pretty good size wash tub 24" over the top as the oven. i have also cooked bread in a Dutch oven as well as just wrapping it around a stick over an open fire. i cook alot outside.

That is a cool piece! My first grandson loved dinos too they were the first thing he learned to talk about. we painted his whole room with the theme, he is 21 now. Love em now it goes by quick! Wish a had a pattern i would sure share it with you.

i use the same rule of thumb as tooling, i get it wet all the way through but not soaking wet i run it under the tap on both sides till it all looks wet. then stick the object in it and let it set and check it till its workable, then form it with my hands. The way i figure it is the leather will mold best at the same dampness as tooling works best. Same with burnishing the edges. Now i dont do a lot of those retention type holsters with all the definition but mine are formed to the weapon to create a good tight fit. Dwights video on wet molding is about the best one i've seen on the actual forming procedure. i liked the idea of the plastic layer between the tool and the leather even if vacuum wasn't applied. i think it would take out a lot of unwanted tool marks dont know though so i may have to try it out.

i leave the gun or knife in the holster till next morning, they are usually dry on the outside but by the end of the day all the way through, i live in a desert however even in the winter there is almost zero humidity.

I'm torn i like em both even though the second is much better built!! now you have one for town and one for fishin.
