  1. Aint that the truth. a bent fork and a dirt pile kept me busy many an afternoon
  2. I have no idea what it is called. I use it to make the leather thinner and to get rid of the fuzzies If their are still fuzzies left after I use this then I use some stuff call toka {whatever I can not pronounce it much less spell it} and rub it with a deer tine, some folks use a glass

  9. 9oz leather, i am packing corn, it falls out when you are done. yes, i have a gap or 2. those pieces are not finished going through the line. i catch the bs on the next step. every hole gets an awl stuck in it then it will be glued, then sanded and edged then sewn whew... i gotta get busy !!!
  10. before you say anything. Cause I know you guys do not MISS anything. I am well aware that I did not stamp the edge of the dragon scales this is where it will be formed and the edge will not be seen...Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

  16. here is a small simple project that maybe some of he new guys can benefit from, Are you a tradesman? Do you work with tools everyday? This is a tool sleeve that fits in your back pocket. It protects your jeans from getting rippled 3 pictures. one is the sleeve inside a pair of jeans, the others are the sleeve
  17. I use a triple hydrometer in another hobby of mine and found out rather quickly that an acrylic hydrometer will fall apart in front of your eyes and a glass one will not

  19. Thanks, i did actually spend a few hows in that rabbit hole. Beer and wine are OK IF They are in the bag for the day, not to be stored in the bag hard booze is out, you can not put it in he bag. As far as I can tell. no research has been done, that I can find on the hard booze, I have made one bag And picked up a commission to make 10 for a vendor at a renaissance festival Raw bag,, not dyd or treated
  20. Bounce some ideas off of me Here is what i have. A BEAUTIFUL piece of what looks like elk suede a rust color size is aprox 18'''' by 30'' I am leaning towards a retro 60's look purse.. folds over with no clasp and a lot of fringe [hippi style]

  23. Yeah, I found the scrappy scraps. they smell good.
  24. Chromium-vanadium steel(Cr-V) It has better strength and toughness than carbon steel, so it is a great material for high quality tools. Commonly used for wrenches, screwdrivers, manual sleeves generally use 50BV30 chrome vanadium steel.
