I have no idea if I do it right or not. I glue the whole thang Are you glueing the whole piece? I have no problems If i glue the whole piece. I only have problems if I edge glue it and use a liner that has a little stretch to it, like pig skin or elk hide -

Competition shooters are kinda freaky people. LOL They want what they want because some guy used it and got the best time so by GAWD that is the reason and do not tell me any different because I shoot 3 gun and you dont know nothin LOL Yeah,, I have had this discussion before. I agree that 2 pieces of veg tan are all you need Buffalo is better than cow. IMO. But if you want something in the belt to stiffen it use a 1/2'' wide zip tie or pallet strap. A metal pallet strap works also. here is a belt i made with 3 pcs of 8 oz <<Notice it is sitting on the floor in a circle, This belt is STIFF with no added stiffener

No dip dye, first the black then the mahogany. I used a sponge in a circular motion. 4 or five coats. do not load up the sponge. you will have dark spots where you started in the above picture. the black is actually to dark. i should have used less dye -

I enjoyed your video.. if you are not going to talk then add some Jazz or Blues. I am one of the persons that would be learning from it. I do have a suggestion.. Please redo this video, and use only the tools a person who is learning would have. a knife, straight edge, and a wood burnishing tool Thank you. Looking forward to future Videos -
this one is about 5' long .i gave him a pass and drove around it

The top piece I figured the diameter of the horizontal piece [7''] and made the top piece 1'' [8''] . for the fold and sewing only thing I did not consider is the stretching of the leather. I think i will try leaving the extra 1/2 of the 1'' off to compensate for the stretch?
