  1. I roughed in the plumbing for the Travis county Correctional Complex New Kitchen. We were working over time. When we decided to knock off for the day, we found they had locked the construction gate. So we started looking for a way to get out. We found a hole in the fence, slipped threw it and walked down the road to the guard shack. We told the Guard he needed to unlock the gate so we could get the Truck out. He looked at as with a puzzled expression. Then asked, If you were locked inside how did not get out? I pointed down the fence line and said. through that big hole in the fence. LOL ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. He got on the radio and guards started coming from every where. No one had escaped but they were embarrassed as hell about a big hole in the fence.
  2. When and if you remove the cam shaft on these machines. Turn the handle so the wood handle is at top dead center then where the cams are located on the shaft, use a sharpie to mark the position of the cams in relation to top dead center now every thing is marked. reassembly will be a breeze
  3. Horay!! machine showed during a tornado warning with lots of rain. I gotta get me one of those UPS foul weather hats. I unpackaged the machine, then checked ro see if it actually works. It does next, I removed the cam shaft. I will go to town and find another shaft or have one turned I need one that is longer and will fit inside of the old 12'' cast iron tredel pulley

  11. How to measure for a belt remove old belt run a string around the pulleys mark the string where the 2 ends meet measure the string. that is the length you need
  12. The cause of the noise is obvious the belt is to short.. machine is in a 9 line bind on a downward pull if you keep running the machine the shaft bearings ARE going to wear out then you will need another motor
  13. The motor has a variable speed knob and a lever to hook up foot pedal up to I am going to slow it down further using a set of pulleys. In order to keep the torque constant at low rpm I want enough torque to go through 3 pieces of 9oz veg tan at 1 stitch every 3 seconds for control purposes
